Golf question, drivers - stiff to x-stiff shaft?
I'm considering going from a stiff shaft to an x-stiff shaft, wondering if anyone has made this transition and liked/disliked it. I have a swing speed around 115 and I hit my r7 quad w/ an Aldila stiff pretty well, but I've read that at my swing speed x-stiff is recomended. I can work it both ways and hit a natural draw. I dont want to lose any distance as I recently just started getting some nice distance. If you have any experience with this, I'd really like your input. I also know that club fitting is the best way to go, I just dont want to spend retail money buying a driver. I'm looking at last years Taylor Made Burner. It runs 300 in stores and 200 on ebay. Thanks for the input.
4 AnswersGolf1 decade agoRacial awareness from a 5 year old???
My daughter is asking me questions about race and skin color. She's 5 years old! I'm 31 and I dont think I became aware or cared of race until I was a teenager. So I'm trying to explain to her that people have all different skin types, even in the same family. Just trying to disregard skin color. Race is a bit tougher. Any ideas on how to teach her simply ( a way that a 5 year old can understand) that all people are different and the same, and we should treat and think of each other as a brotherhood of human kind? I'm not looking for politically correct either. I think that's garbage.

6 AnswersYahoo Profiles1 decade agoWhat's the funniest Halloween story you've ever heard?
I have a friend that had to go trick or treating in the early afternoon so that his parent could give away candy that they got from the neighbors. He would then change and go back out again at night to get candy for himself.
3 AnswersOther - Entertainment1 decade agoDo you think books will become obsolete?
Will they be digital so we can read them on our laptops? Maybe they will be audio so we can listen to them on our ipods while we work.
Do you think we need the smell of the pages? Do you think we need to turn the pages? Maybe we need a cover so we can judge by the cover. Could you do with or without books?

I understand that the needles could hit points on the body that could release endorphines to make you feel better, but what about a chronic or long term relief? Is there any medical treatment associated to accupuncture?

My wife and I have been to Vegas so many times that I think we ran out of things to do there. Yes I know, that's sort of like saying that we've seen everything on the internet. She doesnt gamble, so the few times a year that we go together, we look for other entertainment. We really like the Cirque shows(seen all but Zumanity). We've seen most of the variety shows. Ran out of things to do and need help. Thanks in advance.

6 AnswersParenting1 decade agoDo you let your teenage, high school kids party at your house instead of out somewhere else?
Most highschool kids will do some underage partying/drinking. Would you rather them do it at home under your supervision, knowing that you may be responsible for mishaps of their friends, or would you rather turn a blind eye and let them do it away from home?
It's really easy to say that your child will not be partaking in these types of activities. It is also easy to say that you will teach them what is right and wrong as the age comes. Realistically, they will still AT LEAST try whatever it is that they do when the time comes. I think it's the most scary when you have a child that you taught well that is out 'trying' whatever it is that they are trying. Anyways, just wondering if there are any out there that are open to having your home open to your child and their friends instead of them heading out to a park, alley, or someone's house where the parents are gone. I'm also open to any other reasonable alternatives.
17 AnswersParenting1 decade agoWhat makes a person a celebrity? Is it just that they are well known? Does this make John Mark Karr a celeb?
If it is enough just to be known by a great number of people, does this make people like Richard Ramirez, Osama bin Laden, and Hitler celebrities? What about DJ's (the ones that pick music to play on the radio, not the ones that spin)? The reason I'm asking this is that I constantly argue with my wife that people like Ryan Seacrest arent celebrities.
2 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoShould we feel guilty about not including our kids in my wife's birthday weekend?
We've always spent a weekend away for each of our birthdays. My parents give us the gift of babysitting for the weekend so we can get away twice a year for some alone time, but now the kids are at an age where they are starting to understand that they are not spending mom's birthday with her. They are 5 and 3.

The arts generally describe human emotion or human interaction to cosmic events. I wonder if and how they relate to each other.
8 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoReality TV, drama series, sitcom, sports, cartoons, educational, or other - which do you prefer?
It seems that television is moving more towards drama series, even though reality tv is still hot. I just finished the first season of Lost and I'm dying to get my hands on season two. I just wanted to know what type of tv people prefer and which shows everyone is watching.
