I'm really really confused on Newton's third law. Let's say that there's a box (mass 1) on top of another box (m2) So I draw my free body diagrams and I have the normal gravitational pair, friction and actual force--but what force does mass 1 exert on mass 2? What is it actually? Is it the weight? I get that there's a reaction pair but I have no idea what the quantity is.

I have a LOT of scratches on my cello fingerboard due to the bridge falling off and the person who was taking care of it didn't check it for me (not a musician)--is there any way to minimize the appearance of the scratches?

I've been in a relationship for over a year; I'm on the West Coast, he's on the East Coast. My current schedule now is to wake up around 9, go to class from 9 to 3, work for a couple of hours, and then talk to my boyfriend for three hours. I think it's excessive...Do my worries make any sense?

Just two days ago, the left side of my lower back has been hurting nonstop; it seems only skin-deep and brushing against it hurts like hell, even if it's just my shirt.

As far as I can tell, the game isn't starting up at all, and the launcher closes after a little pop-up says "Sims3launcher has stopped working". I installed some mods and I think that might be the problem, but I can't find any of the mods. I also moved the Resource file that modthesims.info recommends you move before installing mods. Is that the problem?

I also updated Sims 3 for the latest update; I haven't tried playing the game since, but the launcher seemed to work fine after I installed it.

BTW, i have really thick hair, I don't want to dye my hair, and I want to have a hairstyle that's low-maintenance.

I can access almost every part of Zune Marketplace except for the channels. Once I click on a channel on the main page, it says "Zune Marketplace is temporarily unavailable. Please check back later." I'm pretty keen on using this feature....so how can I solve it? It's not a network problem, seeing that I can download stuff still.

I've been in the IB program for two years (I'm a sophomore right now) and I'm considering quitting the IB program so I can get a higher GPA and get better extracurriculars, since the workload is severely restricting what I can do. What I want to know is how bad this will affect my application to colleges; I've heard from a couple people that it doesn't affect it too much, but the IB consuelor at my school hinted at the effects. As a sophomore, I haven't taken any full-blown IB classes, just Pre-IB.

I want to have my last name and page number, like "[last name] [number]", but I can't get the numbers to change for every page. I'm on Word 2007

I've tried everything: I use adobe 9.45 or whatever it is, I've cleared out my cache, I've made sure I don't have any stupid add-ons, including GWA, I'm not on Youtube Beta, for some reason, hardware acceleration is enabled. I've checked tons of websites and this issue is driving me crazy. I don't want to install a separate program or meddle with my computer's security in any way.

I don't know what's wrong with my computer, but almost three-quarters of all the videos on youtube are not available to me; they say when I try to load them that these videos are unavailable, but I see that people have commented on them hours ago, and besides, three-quarters of all videos on youtube can't be removed just like that. Do I need to download something?

Videos that do work: WongFu productions videos, most Cocoaandme videos, most of the original Potterpuppetpal videos (but none of NeilCierciegia's other videos)

I've installed v. 9.0 and it's refused to start. I've uninstalled the older Yahoo messenger. I try running the program but it only appears as a process on the Task Manager.

I'm playing the Hungarian Rhapsody right now and my wrist gets really tired easily; sometimes the fatigue spreads to the rest of my arm and I have to stop. Problem is, I have to play it nonstop for a competition. Are there any little exercises to help stop the fatigue? Should I correct the way I hold the bow?
