  • Back Gaurd or rib protector?

My nephew plays offensive and defensive lineman. He s had 2 games so far and has been blocked in the back at least twice in both games with a helmet (they did get called on for a penalty). He is 9 years old and leaves game with an painful back. I know that rib protectors and back guards are for running backs and quarterbacks and are not used for lineman but I was just curious if either one would help him or not. Pro and cons?

  • large bump on 5 yr old forehead?

About two weeks ago my 5 year old got a red bump right in the center of her forehead...thought it might be a mosquito bite. She gets big bumps when she is bitten by a mosquito. Well...the next day it got huge like 3/4 inch wide and kind of looked like a horn was trying to pop out! So I just recently dealt with something similar with my nephew which was an infected mosquito and was told to wash it and put some triple antibiotic cream on it with a band aid. So did that and it shrunk by half over night. took 4 nights and it seemed to be almost unseen so I stopped putting it on. then a week goes by and it reappears but very small so I make sure there is nothing in it and but the cream and band aid on again for that night and almost gone, just a small red speck left. Today, after a week of just the speck it is back...about 1/2 inch wide and very noticeable. Seems to get worse if she is outside for a long period. Any ideas? Should I make an appointment with her primary doctor tomorrow or wait to ask her allergist about it on monday (has appointment, only see's patients on monday.)???

  • 4 yr old with diarrhea?

I think she has a stomach flu....she started by vomiting 1:30 in the morning then diarrhea for 24 hrs. I fed her bananas and other white food and gave her powerade zero. It seemed to had gone away the next day, but then for the it game back. I has been over 48 hours now since it came back. It is very watery, so much so that I have to ask if she is peeing. She is still eating ( still eating bananas) and drinking plenty of water and powerade zeros and her energy has not really slowed down. She is raw and I have never seen such watery diarrhea ( even clear?). Just worried? Should I be worried or just keep her hydrated and let it work it's way out...what ever it is?

  • Pepper spray at UC Davis..?

I will admit that I was outraged when I saw on our local news the UC Davis pepper spraying incident. But then about a week ago one of the peace full protesters came to one of the local news stations with a camera phone video of what happened before, it showed that some of the protesters surrounded the police and would not let them pass. Then today my dad sent me a youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhPdH3wE0%E2%80%A6 Stopping an officer of their duties is against the law -Penal Code 148(a)(1) PC

( and the police told them many times that if they did not move that they where going to have to take action and the protesters laughed. After this I am confused why there are still outrage and threats towards these officers? I don't understand why people think it is peaceful protest to surround police and give the police an ultimatum of releasing the arrested or the protesters will not let them pass? And why still harass these officers for doing their job?

  • Severe asthma and medicine seams not to be working?

My husband has severe asthma. He was hospitalized all the time as a child. He went for allergy shots when he was a child and was told that they would control his asthma for a large portion of his childhood but that it would come back. He is 49 now and his asthma came back about 10 years ago. It seems with each severe attack (rush to doctors or ER) the attacks get worse. 7 days ago my husband had a severe attack that landed us it the ER. They did the normal breathing treatment with some oral steroids, waited just a bit, took an x-ray, and then examined him again, no change. Then they gave him an hour long treatment and said that they could hear air exiting his lungs and to make an appointment with doctor ASAP. The ER doc gave him a prescription for the max dose of the oral steroid. The next day we go to docs, not better at all. Doc gives max dose for all other asthma Meds to help him start to improve and told him to make appointments for everyday for the rest of week. By the time friday came he had gotten worse. The doctor had us go do a blood test Saturday to see if he can up the dose on any of the meds. It is Sunday night and I can't say that there is any improvement, I think he is worse. It seems like he is lacking oxygen. He is very tired and says his legs ache. He says no to ER because we see the doctor almost everyday. My husband thinks this asthma just might kill him if not this attack the next. Is there more that can be done in the hospital besides the normal steroids and breathing treatments ( doing breathing treatments at home with 2 types of meds at same time at least every 4 hrs)?

He's takes singular every day as a preventive as well as 3 different inhalers and one other pill to prevent attacks...

Last Doctors appointment was on Friday and his oxygen level was going between 90 and 91. His next appointment is tomorrow (tuesday). His lips and finger nails are purplish and he has been sleeping all day, just getting up to use restroom.

  • Jerry Brown trustworthy?

If he can be trusted than why did he help seal his and all future Governors gubernatorial records.

[ In 2008, the First Amendment Coalition requested access to Brown's gubernatorial records. After leaving the governorship, Brown helped seal his records and those of future governors for a 50-year secrecy period. He has been urged to release his records before the election and to help shorten or eliminate the secrecy period.[41] [42] [43]]

    Why the secrecy?

  • Sibling needing a push to send in inheritance forms?

One of my husbands siblings are purposely stalling on turning in certain annuity and ira inheritance forms that require all siblings to send in paper work in order to close the accounts. These accounts are being effected by the Stock Market until the sibling decides to turn in her paper work. She said that she is holding off because she makes too much money and the inheritance would make her tax bracket at 50% if she takes cash. But she has already said that she is just going to keep them in the annuity and ira so that no taxes get taken out and She is still not sending the forms in. It is bothering me because I think she is doing it on purpose. Me and My husband do not have a home. We live in a bedroom of my parents house with our 3 year old and we told her with the inheritance we were going to use it as a down payment on a house but we don't even know what kind of loan we could get until we have the money for down payment. Then she and my husband got into it about there parents possessions (she wants everthing she wants first then everone can fight over it after and she is not the eccecetor) and he said to her that he want nothing anymore, return most of it because she wanted it ( he only wanted what his mom told him that she wanted him to have) and that he was through with her. She cried then got mad ( there is 5 children involved). We are starting to think she is doing this out of spite. My husband is not the only one who could use the money soon, one of his other siblings spouse unemployment is running out and that sibling does not know how they are going to make it without loosing there house. Is there any legal things I can do to get her to send the forms off? I live in California if that makes a difference?
