  • Ever consider dropping out?

Out of the everyday rat race, back into a more pioneer setting, raising your own livestock, growing your own food? Ever wanted to go camping and NEVER come back? No electric, no city running water, no more noise of four lanes of traffic zooming by at a volocity that can tear you limb from limb... Just basic simplistic life, no more drama...

  • Where should I go?

Dont answer this if you dont have anything intelligent to say, PLEASE.

I want to go off grid in a backwoods sort of way... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Off-the-grid

    http://www.backwoods.com/

This will mean I need someplace warm year round but not baking hot. Someplace with a lot of rivers, and I prefer a mountain or almost setting. Trees will be a MUST.

I know in a lot of places you are not allowed, by state regulations to live in your yurt ( http://www.rdrop.com/~glacier/yurt.htm ) /rv/dome ( http://www.shelter-systems.com/yurt-dome-testimoni... ) and other shelters. I want to not have to worry about if I will be allowed to stay in that place and not have to move my protable life to another location until Im ready to do so.

Does anyone know of an area that allows such a beautiful life? (USA locations only please)
