  • Unknown wire combo for a cat 5 cable?

I have a cat 5e UTP cable that was given to me by someone in my office and I can't figure out what it is meant for. It's not T-568A or T-568B, and it's not a crossover cable either.

The jacks are wired as follows:

    Side 1:

    Blue, Blue/White, Green/White, Orange, Orange/White, Green, Brown/White, Brown.

    Side 2:

    Orange, Orange/White, Green/White, Blue, Blue/White, Green, Brown/White, Brown.

It's probably not improperly wired because he gave it to me to try to figure out what it is used for. Thanks.

  • Does the iphone work like an ipod touch after the subscription is expired?

I am interested in getting an iphone and I was wondering if after 2 years when there are newer and better cellphones to have, would it still be possible to operate the iphone as an ipod touch type device (like for playing movies and mp3s) without having a subscription plan?

  • When storing a Glock pistol, is it ok to leave ****** or should you dry fire?

When you put a Glock pistol away in the safe for long term storage, should you leave it in it's ****** position or should you dry fire it to release the pin? It's completely unloaded and is to be stored in a safe location. I am looking for information on if it is better to store in one position over the other to release the tension in the gun so that nothing breaks or wears out.

  • to the person who just posted about being suicidal?

the question was removed before i could respond, but it is important i think to answer. The origional question was "sometimes I feel suicadal?"

Honistly I think everyone does sometimes. Life is hard and certenly not fair. The biggest issue is finding something to live for. Finding a goal or dream, a meaning for life will help in your battle for survival. Do you get out much? Have any hobies or things you like to do? If so then just doing those things will help. If you find that you wollow around a lot, brousing the internet for a reason to live then you are seeking change. What you're looking for may not be your own death, but a "death" to yor current situation. The hardest part about overcoming suicidality is realizing that there is absolutly nothing in this world that is worth killing yourself over. Don't like your family, spouce, job, kids, the way you look? what ever the issue is that makes you feel hopeless can be changed! It may not be the best outcome...
