1 AnswerWashington, D.C.8 years agoHow many audio tracks will be there, in a DVD?
Say the DVD mentions as 7.1 audio. What I want to know is, whether the recording in the DVD is simple stereo - with or without Dolby types - and play back is digitally modified for 7.1 from the stereo recording? Or, the recording itself is 8 tracks? i.e 7+1 tracks.
In case if the recording is 8 tracks, how to play back all the 8 channels in a 2.1 amplifier or 5.1 amplifier? Theoritically we are missing the other tracks' sound. Is this correct? From where the center channel gets it's signal?
3 AnswersHome Theater8 years agoWhich is best? Fixing a hard disk horizontally or vertically?
Please let me know the pros and cons of fixing hard disks vertically.
Generally in hard disks, a pick-up arm detects the datas from the round disk. And by default it is said that a pick up arm will function well, only if it moves horizontally and not vertically.
A hard disk mounted vertically will allow the pick-up arm to move vertically only and as such, there is every chance for it to skip, thereby we lose some data.
