  • Screw Broke Off Inside Of 2 Way Radio?

    I have a 2 way radio that I was using an external speaker microphone with. The thumbscrew holding the speaker mic on has broken and as a result the threaded end of the screw is stuck inside the radio.

    Does anyone have any ideas for backing the broken screw out of the radio? The screw end is now flush with the side of the radio and is rather small.

  • IBM Think Pad R40 Won't Power Up?

    I have an IBM Thinkpad R40 that I can't get to power up. I plugged the AC Charger in and didn't see any power indicators light up. Tried a known good charger and still don't get any indicator lights. The laptop won't turn on and I don't have another charged battery to see if I can power up on just the battery.

    I don't smell any smoke and don't see anything obviously wrong with the computer. The power jack is in good condition and it feels like the charger is making good contact with the jack.

    Anyone have any idea's on what I could check on/in the laptop to start the trouble shooting process? Are there any internal fuses inside I can check on?
