  • Please help identify this insect?

Help! We have some kind of fruit fly looking thing. Actually, they look more like fleas, but they fly. When they move along a surface, they do so in a zig zag fashion. They are annoying, but I do not think that they bite. However, they are into everything. They fly into your nose, ears, drinks, dinner plates, they are horrible, and we need to figure out what they are and how to get rid of them. If it matters, we live in Northern Kentucky, and we have no outdoor pets.

  • Identify this coverless Marvel please?

There is no publication info, it must have been printed on the inside cover. There are four stories, ranging from monster, to sci-fi, to suspense.

    1. Mister Morgan's Monster ~Kirby & Ayers

    2. The Day Before Doomsday! ~Kirby & Ayers

    3. The Man in the Glass Cage! ~Don Heck

    4. A Switch in Time ~Lee & Ditko

If the caption ads at the bottom of the pages are correct timewise, then there is a small window of when this book could have been published. I'll explain.

At the end of the last story, the bottom caption reads "LIKE THIS TYPE OF STORY? THEN DON'T MISS AMAZING ADULT FANTASY COMICS -- ON SALE" At the centerfold page, there is a caption that reads "yOU'VE NEVER READ A COMIC LIKE THE FANTASTIC FOUR! GET YOUR SPINE-TINGLING COPY TODAY!" Since the first issue of FF was published in Nov. of '61, and the last issue of Amazing Adult Fantasy was published in July of '62, I assume the book in question was published somewhere in between. Hope that helps.

  • Why would a car need a control arm replaced on the passenger rear wheel?

I heard from a private seller that their '86 Mercedes Benz 420 SEL might need this, and it led me to wonder... What might cause them to suspect this? Is it an allignment issue? Is there some sort of wobble visible? Anyone who can clear up what the control arm does, or explain why someone would suspect it needs replacing, please answer.

  • Why does the Flu shot make some people sick?

My son is 3 and a half, at that age they give them the flu shot in 2 half doses 1 month apart. After BOTH shots, he got a nasty, lingering bug, with cold like symptoms (runny nose, congestion, and cough). The nurse told us that there is no way for the shot to make him sick because there is nolive virus contained in the shot. My aunt also got sick the same way, and her nirse/doctor said the same thing to her. So are they lying? Why are they both sick, and can anything be done to prevent this short of avoiding the flu shot in the future? What exactly IS in the flu shot?

  • Are these the most ticky tacky flag happy refs in MNF history?

It's really starting to piss me off, let 'em play, guys. Didn't one of you get taken out in the first half? Are you trying to make up for the missing man by throwing extra flags on his behalf? Piff!

  • Anyone hate Dan Marino as much as I?

I've always known that he was a pretty unintelligent and uneducated guy, but what a buffon for making the comments he did this week on Inside the NFL. Commenting on the replacement or "scab" players of the 1987 players strike, Marino had nothing but derrision and contempt. "They did nothing, they didn't do anything at all" he said with regards to the Washington Redskins who went 3-0 during the 24 day strike. That Redskin team was 100% replacement, while many of the teams they beat had many star and veteran players who had crossed the picket lines. The final game was against division rival Dallas, and the Cowboys had almost all their stars back, including Tony Dorsett, Danny White, "Too Tall" Jones, and Randy White. In a story for the ages, and serving as inspiration for the movie "The Replacements", the Redskins won that Monday night game 13-7, which was the last of the replacement games. To say that they "did nothing" is belittling of a major accomplishment. Shame on you Dan.

  • Does Kayne West's ability to laugh at himself improve your opinion of him?

If you watched SNL tonight, then you know what I'm talking about. If you missed it, Kayne did a skit in which he repeatedly was caught on film freaking out at various awards, such as kids choice, the noble prize for physics, and a county fair blue ribbon award for best pumpkin. In my opinion, most celebreties try to hide from their problems, thinking if they wait long enough, it will blow over and be forgotten. Not Kayne, he steps right up and pokes fun at himself. So I guess you know my opinion already, I'm curious to hear yours, which ever side you come down on.

  • Anyone know if McDonald's recently changed their value menu numbers?

I swear I always ordered a number four, and always got a double quarter pounder with cheese. Now that item is on the number three, and I always order it wrong. Do the number remain the same from location to location and from city to city? Any help would be great here, I want to know if I'm losing my memory or not.

  • Surprised that the Colts are favored by 7?

Indianapolis is the number 3 seed in the AFC, and yet they are favored by 7 (as of Sunday, 1/28) over the number 1 seed in the NFC, Chicago. Does this seem surprising to anyone, and what do you think the outcome will be?

  • Will the Colts please show up for the AFC Championship game?

They got the match-up they wanted, Patriots @ Indianapolis, so now will they pull it off? I'm really hoping for a big game from Peyton Manning and also a total thrashing of Brady by the defense. I realize this may be asking alot, but is it possible? Probable? What do you think?

Patriots fans: you may not want to answer, I'll just bash you about the head :P

  • Are the refs trying to hand the game to the Patriots?

There was no friggin headbutt! If anything, the Patriot players lashed out at #29. He may have acted like he was GOING to headbutt, but he was stopped. So why the penalty on him?
