  • Netflix completely freezes my computer?

The past few days, I've not been able to run Netflix on my computer. I can't even get past the main screen before it completely locks up. A few seconds after I go to the site, it happens. I can't bring up the task manager, force close the window. Nothing. I've got to force shut down the computer and restart. It happens in both Chrome and Firefox. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Silverlight, updated all drivers, cleared cookies and cache, tried incognito mode, and even resorted to doing a full system reset and reinstalling the OS (needed it anyway). Everything I've researched, I can't find anything that fits my symptoms. Most people are freezing up after they start a movie. But can usually close the browser. I can't do anything.

  • What s wrong with my screen(s)?

I have a Dell ST2220L as my primary screen and a Acer G227HQL as my secondary screen. My video card is an AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series. Both hooked up via HDMI.

I ve never had any issue with anything until today. Windows 10 did some security update overnight and restarted and all that jazz, and upon coming home from work and finishing up the update, I m greeted with this. https://youtu.be/lyWN7xhsnIk I ve screwed around with the Radeon settings, but I don t really know where to start. It happens on both screens, one at a time. It started on my primary screen and now it s onto the secondary. Seems to be moving up from the bottom each time it comes back. If nothing is going on in either screen, it isn't too bad. But just typing this is causing it to happen on the other screen, and video make it go nuts.

  • Specific type of art I am looking for, can't think of the name.?

I've seen it a couple of times. A flat piece of.... clay? Maybe? Is carved into, and then pressed onto a thin layer of paint, then a piece of paper to transfer it the picture. The part that is carved out does not show up in the transfer, making the picture. I've done it once a long time ago and cannot remember what it is called.

  • Dell laptop recommendations?

I'm buying a laptop from Dell. No "Dell sucks, get HP" or similar comments, please. It's going to be Dell, no choice. It's basically going to be for everyday computing. Main reason is I'm going to go to college so I need a good school laptop.

  • Internal Hard Drive Security Permissions?

I have two Internal hard drives from older computers I had. I bought a USB to SATA adapter to retrieve the files off of the drives. The adapter works. I can "access" the files on the drives. But every time I attempt to move, view, or change the files, I am told I need to take admin privileges. I was the admin for both computers and have the passwords and all of the info I would need. I am never prompted to enter a password or any information to gain access. I just have to choose a current account on my computer and "try" to take ownership. I do this and am told I now have ownership. However, I still cannot access the files(s) once I have supposedly changed ownership. What else can I do to access these files?

  • When was the first picture of a person taken? One that was meant to be of a person?

This picture just came out as being the first picture of a human ever taken, http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20101027/od_y... It made me curious as to when the first purposeful picture of a human was taken.

  • Would a Cold Air Intake make any change in this car?

I have a '04 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Supercharged. I swear I read somewhere that a supercharged (or turbocharging for 4-cyl.) vehicle has no use for a cold air intake for whatever reason. I can't think of where I might have read it or find it again. If I put one on, will I get more horsepower out of it or will it just be a waste of my time and money?

  • 88th Regional Support Command contact?

I need a contact page or something for the 88th Regional Support Command located in Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin.

I need to call them for some info and cannot find they're number. Not on my orders or anything I have. If you have the number, cool, but I need the website or something of where you got it.

And just e-mail it to me. I don't want their number here. And answer the question with "I sent it" or something so I can give the Best Answer.

  • Explain your issue with Norton AV?

I don't get it. I use Norton and I have not had one problem. I have also uninstalled it and scanned with Avast! It didn't come up with anything.

Granted, it uses some RAM, I had that issue. But them I bought more RAM, now it runs great.

I also run STOPzilla as my antispyware program.

If you don't like it, have you used it? If you haven't, I don't need your answer, because you don't know. Do you not like it because you have to pay for it?

I don't see where the comments like "It's a hog antivirus" come from. It uses less RAM then most of my other programs, until it is scanning.

Reasons why you don't like, please.

I don't want insults, nor do I want to be told I need to switch. I'm not switching.

Also, if you want to include what program you use, please do.

  • I need some websites that will walk me through how to install more RAM into my computer.?

I already know what I need to buy, but I want to make sure that I am going to be able to install the RAM myself. I don't want to have to take it anywhere. I'm clueless when it comes to hardware. I've installed RAM into my Laptop, that was easy, but this computer is a Dell Desktop. So any good websites that will walk me through the installation of a few RAM sticks would be great.

  • How can a person understand a language but not speak it, or vice versa?

I've seen this a lot lately. People who are able to understand, for example, Japanese. They can listen and comprehend what the person is saying, but they can't respond in the same language.

If you learn how to understand the language, wouldn't you have to learn the pronunciations, verbs, all that? Therefore, wouldn't you be able to speak it? Or vice versa, if you learn to speak it, wouldn't you understand it.

I am currently learning a language, but I'm learning how to speak and understand it. So I'm curious how this happens.

  • Where is Firefox's dictionary at?

I went to correct a misspelling and accidentally added the misspelled word to the dictionary rather then correcting it. It's a common misspelled word of mine so I need to get it out of the dictionary. Is this possible, or do I need to re-install Firefox?

  • OpenOffice Table Border's should not be printing?

I have a few Templates that I need to use on a daily bases. I've tried a few different things, but when I print in OpenOffice, the template prints along with the the text. It is a very dull gray, but noticeable on a blank white page. In MS Word, by default, the border's won't print. So How do I keep them from printing in OpenOffice?

  • Why is Norton Security Software thought to be so bad?

I've used Norton Internet Security since I first bought it for Windows 98. I have never had any problems with it and I don't have any virus's. I don't plan on changing to another one, so don't try to convince me. I am just curious as to why everyone believes it is so bad, and why? Do you have reason's other than the fact that it isn't free? Have you ever used it before, or are you going on assumptions?

Also, out of curiosity, I uninstalled Norton completely one day (so there was no conflict) and scanned my computer with both Avast and AVG, neither came up with any virus's. Some kind of malware or something, but that was it. So if there are virus's that Norton can't find, then neither can Avast or AVG.

  • What's this new policy Paypal has?

I just read on another Yahoo! Answer's question that Paypal has some new policy about sales over $100 being put on hold. I just looked on there site under the Policy Updates and didn't see anything about that in there. What is this policy? I've sold a few things over $100 so I want to know what's going to happen if I do again.

  • Anyone know what 'Gvista' is?

My Anti-spyware software (STOPzilla) has quarantined two instances of 'Gvista' found on my External Hard Drive. I looked it up and the first thing i got was Gvista.com, which seems to be some kind of software. I don't want to get rid of it in case it is something necessary for my External Hard Drive to run properly. If anyone knows anything about it, let me know so that i will have as much info as i can get.

  • What is the advantage to having two or more Operating System's?

I see people who are running Linux and XP or some other OS's together. Is it just so that you don't have to choose between the features that one offers and the other doesn't, or what?

  • iTunes 8 won't 'run'?

I recently updated to iTunes 8. I went through all kinds of problems with the download and the iTunes 7.7 msi file. Once i go that handled i installed iTunes 8. It installed with no problems and as far as running, i guess it's 'running' fine. It shows up as "iTunes" in the Task Manager's processing tab, it uses CPU and RAM. The problem is that the window never opens, i can't use iTunes, it just runs in the background basically. I have to end the program through the Task Manager. I've went through any guides on the Apples website that seem to help. I ran the Install Clean Up, i uninstalled and re-installed iTunes and Quicktime and restarted each time. I can't find the problem

Also, I am running Windows XP
