polishing an intake manifold on an 883 sportster.?
i had a leak on the intake manifold of my sportster. before i put the manifold back on i would like to smooth out the rough surface caused by casting on the inside of the intake. was wondering if anyone has experience in this area and if it has much improvement for air flow and performance. thanks.

recently started backfiring and stalling while riding. would always restart and run. replaced fuel, plugs and wires. seemed to help some but still has the problem. now it takes a long time to warm up. will idle but won't rev un til it has been warming up for about 10 min. carb appears to be clean, float is not stuck. any suggestions. it is a 1986 model that is stock except for pipes. thanks
