I use AVG and it identified a threat as Worm/Generic_c.*** on a file called Amarilis (Oops! The *** stands for "hass" without the "h" which I guess is a violation of the community guidelines!). I was downloading photos from a digital camera into my pc. The friend whose photos I was downloading told me he'd tried to protect them with a program to prevent unauthorized copying. Could it be it? Anyway, it didn´t prevent the downloading and I can't find the virus on any online encyclopedias (including the one on AVG website) nor can I find anything called Amarilis. Thanks!

I was going to make one of those regular phones that children make using two yogurt cups and a string but then I remembered Yahoo Answers and decided to see if anyone has a sugestion on the topic. WHY was the american version of "The Amber Spyglass" censured and why have the publishers freaked out about the scene describing Lyra's reaction to Mary Malone's story? I would think that a couple of homossexual angels would be more upsetting (if you were looking for something to upset you, at least)...

In the 2007 edition of "The Amber Spyglass" there's an appendix containing the Magisterium files on Mary Malone. When I first looked at it, I thought it was the file based upon which the Magisterium had sent Father Gomez after her. But in there there's not only things from Mary's past but also things from her present (in the book), like her live after arriving in the world of the Mulefa. How is that possible? What do you think it means? It seems to suggest that they are still keeping the file up to date after the end of the story, which doesn't seem to be in accordance to the (heart-breaking) closing of all the windows between the worlds. What do you think?
