I believe it is near politically fatal. I do not see how Obama can recovery from this. And if he does gain the nomination, it is possible Repubs will come out in-force in the general election.

The Doppler Effect is the perceived change in frequency of a sound as the distance between you and the sound changes. For example, you're standing or parked on a street. You hear a train or ambulance approach then pass you. As the vehicle gets closer to you, the sound gets louder. As the vehicle passing you, the decreases.

Here's the situation. I run pass you as I'm yelling. Assume my voice is extremely loud. And on a previous experiment you observed that as you stood in Washington, D.C., you could still hear me as I continued you run toward Singapore - some 8000 miles away. lol

If I was to jump straight up, how far would I jump until I was nolonger yelling?

I believe the criteria used to determine whether a celestial body is a planet is overly complex and should be simplified. We're pulling human factors into determination. Size, mass, SHAPE, and composition should NOT be factored into the determination. Alien worlds must be given alien consideration - not a dogmatic narrow view based on human experiences.

Simply put, a planet should have two things:

1. A planet should maintains an orbit within a system. Otherwise it can be classified as an asteriod or comet.

2. A planet can be a statellite to zero or more stars. It cannot be a satellite to another planet.

What is your opinion? What criteria should be used to determine a planet?

We have been hearing a lot about 'civil war' recently in the news with regards to Iraq. I began to think there is nothing 'civil' about it. The words 'civil' and 'war' don't mix.

While the color codes red, yellow, and green are intuitive, the codes orange and blue may leave you scratching your head. And are the implications of these codes clear? Does read mean there is an imminent attack or suspects?

I am suggesting a change in the Threat Level Color Scheme:

I recommend we keep the colors simple and familiar with something Americans know like our traffic signals - red, yellow, and green. And where there are gray areas between two threat codes, the threat level should be divided into a left and right sections. The complete listing of the suggested color scheme is as follows:

Red (STOP) - Severe. Stop what you are doing. Attack imminent or inprogress.

Red/Yellow - Moderate to severe. Attack not imminent.

Yellow (SLOW) - Moderate.

Yellow/Green - Guarded

Green (GO) - No risk.

Given the reoccurrence of large scale military action in the Middle East and Asia. Given accussations of American interference in the Venezuela elections. Given the escalation with China where catpured US soliders were being held and a US warship was immediately dispatched.

What is your opinion on the differences between Bush's policies and the heavy handed policies of Theordore R. and Truman? Was there more military action during Regan/Bush and Bush/Quayle?

From the daily gross figures, it looks like Superman will have a hard time breaking even anytime soon. Critics estimated it would need to make 500mil+ to recover costs - including marketing.
