  • vaio max memory supported fs690p?

    Hi Everyone,

I have been using my vaio fs690p for some time; specs, Pentium M 1.73Ghz, 533Mhz FSB, 80Gb 7200rpm HDD, 1Gb ram, XP Pro. Now I am using some very heavy CAD designs and I need more memory. Currently, I have 1GB (2x512Mb) PC2700 DDR SO DIMM, which is the *maximum* that sony officially supports. However, the computer uses the Intel 915PM chipset, which according to Intel, supports up to 2GB PC4200 DDR2 SO DIMM. My question is, before putting out even more money on the laptop, will I have any problems using this *unsupported* memory configuration?

    Thanks for your help!
