  • Simcity 5 requirements?

    This is my laptop.....

Processor: AMD A6-3420m APU with Radeon HD graphics @ 1.5GHz

...Ok, so when I first bought this PC a year ago i was told its good for gaming but so far I have not played any yet on it. I want to buy Simcity but want to be sure if its actually good enough.

I went to the EA website and their system requirements show the following...

CPU: Intel players will need, minimally, a 2.0 GHz Core2Duo, while our AMD players will need at least an Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+.

I'm thinking those EA system requirements are just minimum. I'm not familiar with CPU's when it comes to computers/gaming and need some help. I've done some research I found that the clock speed it important, mine has 1.5Ghz but also found out it can go up to 2.2Ghz if it needs to. I'm not sure its that's any better or not.

So here are my questions... for whoever is familiar with PC gaming and/or CPU knowledge

1 Does my PC meet the minimum requirements?

    2) If it does, how good or bad is it compared to a PC that would be best for this game?

    3) Can my CPU actually go up to to higher speeds and how does it do this?

Any info would be helpful. Thanks

  • Help identify this tool kit?

Found a tool kit recently in a dusty basement. Not sure what it is or how its used but I'm hoping someone might have seen this before. Its a box filled with what looks like tiny drill bits but they don't look like the ones that create holes...they look like they're for carving things not sure though. The box contained a small rotating drill with a charger..

    here are pictures

  • Value of land: Accounting question?

You're told you bought land with an assessed value(market) of $390,000 and a $600,000 non-interest bearing 3yr note was used in exchange. This type of note usually is charged 12%. There is no established exchange price for the land and no ready market value for the note.

I calculated the note to have a present value of $427,068 based on info given above.

I'm asked to record the transaction. How would you value the land on the books? The market value of $390,000 or the PV of the note? Normally you would want to use the value of whats given up but I also don't want to over value the land. What should I do?

  • How long does a majority/minority government stay in power in Canada?

I know one way a minority government loses power (vote of no confidence), is that the only way they lose power? If so, then do they stay in power until they there’s a vote of no confidence or is there a set limit? Regarding majority government, how long do they stay in power and how do they lose power?

  • Why did the NFLPA file anti-trust lawsuit in Minneapolis?

When the union de-certified, they filed their lawsuit in a Minneapolis Minnesota federal court. I'm not familiar with U.S. court system so I'm just curious. Why the lawsuit is filed their an not other cities/states, like where the two parties are headquartered in MD and NY? Or does it matter where its filed? if so, why Minnesota...I remember the STARCAPS case was also held here and it involved multiple players from different locations. Are all federal lawsuits, whether anit-trust or not held/filed here?
