Every time I am playing a game, I get tearing even though I am capped at 60 Hz.

I went into the EVGA Pixel OC tool and it says that the Default is 50 Hz...

Is this incorrect or is my monitor a turd.

I need a license key for my unregistered Windows 8 PC, but I am struggling to gather enough cash. I was wondering if anybody knew if the Windows 8 Upgrade contained a regular license key or some Pseudo-key that only works if you have a copy of Vista or 7.

I'm planning to upgrade my 3570k to a 3770k, what actions will I need to take apart from the obvious replacement of CPU and thermal paste.

I think it may be a CPU bottleneck, yet all 4 cores are no being used at 100% (hovering around 80) in BF3.

BF3 is known for being CPU intensive, I know that.

My specs are as follows

3570k at 4.6 Ghz

2 GTX 660s

8 GB vengeance memory

Asus P8Z77 mobo, mid range.

750 watt OCZ PSU.

1 TB Caviar Black HDD.

What could be causing this?

I am using an OCd 3570k at 4.6 Ghz and 2 GTX 660s in SLI and I am not getting 60 FPS even though none of my hardware is maxed out, it teeters around 50-60.

The CPU is around 70% to 90% depending on the core, the GPUs 70%, the memory 7 out of 8 GB, and the HDD isn't stressed at all.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Hey, I was browsing this site in interest and I thought I could ask people for some advice.

I am looking to get into weightlifiting for both weight loss (I'm pretty big), and muscle growth.

I can't afford much on account of my age but I have access to a pretty comprehensive set of dumbbells and a proper bench.

Could anyone give me some tips or recommendations on how to start?

Hi, I don't really ask questions on this site, but I thought I might ask for some opinions.

I have a mid-range gaming PC with a 3570k at 4.6 Ghz and a MSI GTX 660 at 1.2 Ghz, do you think I will have more raw computing power than the PS4? (More power than the Xbox one is a given)

I currently have a 3570k OC'd system with a MSI GTX 660 overclocked to 1200 Mhz.

The GPU is currently the bottleneck, but will adding a second GTX 660 in SLI make the CPU the bottleneck?

Any help would be appreciated :)

I recently built an intel system, and while looking at the AMD opposition, I noticed that a lot of people had criticized the current and previous gen CPUs on having less physical cores then specified.

Any clarification on this would be much appreciated :)

As it says in title, I have checked with multiple temp monitors.

I have a 3570k and an Enermax ETS T40 CPU cooler, I reapplied thermal paste, no change.

Any suggestions? Or is this normal XD

I have a gaming PC in a CM Storm Enforcer case with standard fans. I am adding a top fan for extra cooling, and was wondering if it would be better for temps to have it as exhaust or intake

Current Fans

Intake- 200mm 1000RPM

Exhaust- 120mm 1500 RPM

Exhaust- PSU fan

Top fan- 200mm with 192 CFM air flow.

ANy recommendations?

I have a CM Storm enforcer, and am upgrading the cooling with an Enermax ETX-T40-TB CPU cooler, but with an extra 20 dollars to spare, I have 2 options. Either add a second CPU fan for a push-pull, or add a 200m fan for the top of the case.

Any thoughts would be appreciated :D

I am doing a class for Computer Assembly and Repair, and in the 3rd week we actually got into the course, which is a course from CISCO from 2002, which talks about technology that is completely phased out, obsolete, and no longer used. I'm talking about Windows 95, Socket 1 90 Mhz Pentium, 512 KB Memory on the computers.

CISCO made a new course but for whatever reason we cannot use it.

Is it worth even continuing with a course on already obsolete hardware that is of no use now or in the future?

I just logged into steam and origin this morning to find all of my games had uninstalled, I got rather mad (due to data cap) and after reinstalling one of my Origin games, played it for half an hour, logged out, and logged back in, to find it had uninstalled itself again.
