  • Is there any place I can live where I can work to pay my way?

I have only a few hundred dollars and no income. Is there anywhere I can move that will let me live there and work in some capacity as payment? Maybe some community or boarding house? I don't want anything except a place to sleep and bathe and not have to be shuffled around in shelters. I don't mind working. Ideally I would like to find some type of sustainable living, "green" community. Even more ideal would be a sort of non-denominational temple or monastery which focuses on non-attachment to the material world. I wouldn't even know how to find a place like this and I feel like I would need more than my good will to become part of such a community. Any help is appreciated.

  • Is it wrong to take something that's leaning against someone's house unattended?

I found a guitar while walking around my neighborhood. It was on the sidewalk leaning against the front of someone's house. The only part actually touching their property was the headstock. It was near the garbage but the garbage wasn't thrown out. It had a broken string but besides that is a very nice guitar (PRS SE custom Semi-hollow electric, $670 new). So is it illegal that I took it?

  • Can I use the camera of my laptop as the camera for my desktop?

I'm not very tech savvy so this may not make sense, but my laptop has a webcam and my desktop does not. Is there a way to connect the two so I can use the laptop's cam to video blog on my desktop?

  • Why won't some people let others do what they want?

As long as it doesn't hurt others or stop others from doing what they want, what's the problem? A lot of things fall under this category, I'm not going to name them because people have personal biases toward certain things. This seems very general but there are implications that we usually don't notice. Voting for a certain person for example seems harmless, (the act of voting doesn't stop others from doing what they want) but that politician may have the power to stop others from doing what they want. So in reality this question becomes very specific yet still simple. Why should someone who isn't harming or hindering others be stopped?

  • How does one survive the death of their body?

For those who believe in an afterlife, in what form do you continue to live after your body has died? The "you" that you identify as your individual self that has feelings, thoughts and desires has been made up of the memories of your experiences. These experiences come from the external stimuli around you affecting your senses and the memories get stored in certain parts of your brain. So without your physical eyes, ears, nose, tongue, skin and brain there wouldn't be a "you" that you identify as having an individual personality. How can "you" continue to live after death if you have nothing to sense and remember the world around you? The soul doesn't have sensory organs (if you believe in a soul) so that can't be the answer. It seems the entity that we identify as "I" can only exist with a living body.

  • Is there a reason (besides religion, which isn't a reason) to not allow gay marriage?

Why aren't gay couples allowed to have the same rights and benefits as heterosexual couples?
