I recently found out that my son has been talking online to a person who claims to be a European girl for over a year. He recently decided to cut off communication with her, but she won't stop stalking him. She sends him emails almost every day, she traced our IP address and tries to find his other internet profiles like youtube, she even somehow knows what sites he is visiting on the web and it seems like she is not going to stop harassing him. I am obviously not sure if this person is dangerous, but what can I do to help my son? He can't sleep and I think it is because of this internet stalker, and I do not want her stalking our IP address as it is an outright invasion of my family's privacy.

My son has made a new email, but will she find that too, along with his profiles on other sites (he uses websites like Youtube and Tumblr)? What can we do to stop this stalking and harassment, will she be able to find out where he lives and track everything he does for as long as he lives here?

One thing I would like to know is if it is possible to get a new IP address that she won't be able to track. I have another son and 2 young daughters and I am not sure how dangerous this person is, and it is probably safe to say they are lying about their identity. It is difficult to protect your family when you aren't well-versed with the internet and I am hoping to get answers from people that are knowledgeable with this type of stalking behavior, IP address tracking, etc.
