  • Hi I really need some advice here for any mother who has had suffered negative thoughts about their baby...?

I gave birth 9weeks ago and my beautiful angel has been the best thing that has ever happened. However I am increasingly disturbed abt negative thoughts which are plauging me at the moment. I love my daughter, partner and family more than life itself but I have awful thoughts about them dying or sayin in my head I wish them dead but then I cry because I do not mean it and do not know why I am saying it in my head. It is driving me crazy and constantly cry because I do not know why mt head is saying these terrible things. Itotally adore my daughter and am overly obsessiv over her worrying and ensuring she isnt going to die etc. I am obssessed that she is going to die from cotdeath and constantly wake up with hysteria that she is dead!!!! I feel I am cracking up why would my head wish her dead but this would rip me apart if somethng did happen to her....am I suffering post natal stress??? I appreciate any advice. Thanks

I am hoping that it will be beneficial to both myself and my child, it is my 1st child so as u can imagine I am quite nervous about the whole thing. many thanks for your answers. ;-D

  • 31 weeks pregnant....?

I am still managing to keep up easy exercise but I could only manage 25mins of exercise due to the severe lower abdominal pains I was experiencing. The baby is still active, so I am not concerned there. Any idea what these pains could have been? They have eased upnow I am home,

  • 23 weks pregnant and just heard on radio about percentage of women dying during or after childbirth......?

This terrifies me... as I thought these figures had dropped over the years. I know the risk of haemorraging etc...I do what I can to ensure I keep well during pregnancy. I have health issues such as chronic asthma and allergies. I am still exercising regularly; going to the gym, jogging and swimming. I do have heart palpatations at mo which is being investigated. I have only gained weight aroung the stomach area and nowhere else. Is there anyway I could ease these anxieties?

    Many thanx in advance.

  • How far is it safe to run during pregnancy?...?

I am coming up to 15weeks, was extremelly fit before pregnancy and had to rest during the first 12 weeks due to physical exhaustion. I am now feeling better and am starting back at the gym and running. My question is I have always been able to run long distances and do short interval training etc, I have slowed down my running pace and my milegae, but is it safe to continue with 5 mile runs with hills etc? Just would like to know what is safe, many thanks in adv.

  • I am hoping to participate in the great north run, however..........?

I am just wondering if there are any charities I can run for where you do not have to pay a registeration fee? Most I have looked at are asking for a £30-45 reg fee. I would rather not give Brendan Foster any money and raise the cash for a more worthy cause.

    Thank in advance.

  • Painful shin splint..........?

I have the most painful uncomfortable pain in my right shin, which when I touch my shin feels very sore and bruised. I know its as a result of running and interval runs on the treadmill, I recently bought some new running shoes so I know its not a result of bad trainers. Whats the proper treatment of shin splints without having to give up my running?

    Thanks for any advice.

I had my blood tested last week as I have serious allergies nd chronic asthma and have been very exhausted for some time now. The surgery has told me that I need it re-doing as my blood count was "a bit out". What does this mean as I am worried.
