Who want's to play a game?
A customer had his 94 Jimmy 4x4 with a 4.3 vortec towed to my shop tonight. He says it doesn't start, and he put a new battery in it. When that didn't work he took out the starter and had it tested, but it was ok so he put it back in. I asked him if he was sure it wasn't siezed but he said it turns over fine (go figure).
Here's some history: 1/28/08 I did a water pump, 12/27/07 Left front axle shaft, 8/2/07 New starter, 11/3/06 pads and rotors, 8/23/06 ignition wires and an O2 sensor.
Whoever can guess what's wrong with it first, gets best answer tomorrow when I diagnose it.

16 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoI parked on the side of an Erie county rural road and when I returned my car was gone. It was stolen by police
There were no signs indicating no parking. When I got to the town police station to report it stolen, I had was instructed to use the emergency call box (outside in the rain). Nobody there would take my police report, or tell me that my car had been impounded. I had to wait an hour for the deputy who stole it, to arrive at the police station (and he was very unprofessional and angry at me). He proceded to write me tickets for parking (with no code violation #), and tinted glass (with no tint meter test reading). Then I had to find a payphone to find out where to go and pay $70 to get my car for 5 miles outside of town.
Can they legally do that? Or should I sue the county? I have to take heart medication and the psychopath deputy effectively stranded me in the middle of nowhere at an undeveloped county park miles outside of town. Don't they normally put parking tickets on the windshield?

5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow do I kick this addiction to answering everyones stupid questions?
People call me all the time and ask dumb things like, "My check engine light is on, what causes that?" I tell them, "well we could waste hours performing this exercise of unfounded speculation, or you could bring it in!"
Somehow when I sit here in front of my computer, I feel inclined to answer dozens of stupid questions from people I have/will never meet. Why is that? I have cars waiting at my shop for me to fix,(and get paid) but Im sitting in my pajamas until noon answering questions for free.
