Were the police right in making me do this to my car?
I live in PA and drive a decommissioned police car. The other night I met a friend after a night class, and we were parked in a lot hanging out. The police showed up, and although we weren't doing anything wrong, asked to search our cars, which we had no problem with. When the second officer showed up, he got bent out of shape because there was still a control box for the lights in the console of my car, and the dealer left functioning red and blue lights inside the grille and mirrors. The headlights and taillights also had a strobe function. The first officer gave me a warning to remove the lights. I removed the lights and the control box, but left the wiring and connections in the console. When a different officer at the station looked at it, he said I had to cut out all of the wiring and connections and turn them over to them. I did it without argument, but thinking back, I'm pissed off that I did. The warning said to remove the lights, which I did, and there is no law saying that having the wiring and connectors is illegal. They said that I could just reconnect everything, but to me, that's not their concern. It's no different from them not knowing if I was going to drink or text on the way home. In my opinion, the wiring and connectors were my property. What do you think? Thanks in advance for any replies!
2 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police3 years agoAm I being too picky with dating?
I've been trying out online dating and my friend says that I'm being too picky because I'll only date someone who I find physically attractive. He says that you can "grow to like someone you are not 100% attracted to." And I get what he's saying, but I'm referring to people who I don't find physically attractive AT ALL. It just annoys me, because he talks as if looks have very little to do with a relationship, whereas I think that looks are the first attraction in a relationship, and I don't believe that you can "grow to like someone" who you don't find physically attractive at all. What do you think? Am I picky because I won't date someone who I don't find good-looking lol? Thanks.
4 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoHow do I meet a gay or bisexual guy to date?
I'm 21, bisexual, and I've been looking for a guy to date for over a year now. I've been trying online dating for a few years, but I haven't had any luck with it. I also don't go to school, so that is one less way of meeting anyone. At this point I feel pretty hopeless lol. I feel like it's going to take forever before I meet anyone. What are some ways that I can meet another guy? Also, I'd love to hear how other guys have gone about meeting someone. Thank you for any advice. :)
2 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender7 years agoWhat is your opinion on wearing a bi pride wristband?
I bought a few bi pride wristbands and a rainbow-colored one also, and I would like to start wearing one when I go out. My reason for wearing one would be to hopefully let gay or bi guys know that I'm bi, but even if that doesn't happen, I'd still like to wear one just for the heck of it. What do you think about this? Also, have any of you ever worn a pride wristband before and actually had another gay/bi person notice it and ask you out or anything like that? I know that sounds pretty far-fetched lol, but I just thought I'd ask anyway. Thank you.
7 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender7 years agoWould it look weird if a 21 or 22-year-old dated a 17-year-old?
I'm asking this because I'm 21 years old, bisexual, and more attracted to guys who are a couple years younger than me; guys who are anywhere from like 17-20 years old. For example, over the Summer I found a guy on a dating site who I thought was very attractive, and it turned out that he was 17. So just out of curiosity, would there be a noticeable age difference between a 21 or 22-year-old and a 17-year-old, and would it be weird if I ended up with someone who is up to 5 years younger than me? Thanks.
4 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender7 years agoWhat do you think about wearing a pride wristband?
I bought a few wristbands that are the colors of the bisexual flag (blue, purple, and pink) because I would like to start wearing one when I go out. I'm not completely sure of my reason for wanting to wear one though lol. I guess I kind of see it as a subtle way of letting bi or gay guys know that I'm bi, but I don't know. I just feel like it's something I want to do. Anyways, what do you think of this idea? Do you think it's too showy, kind of like saying, "Hey, look at me, I'm bi?" Thanks for any advice.

2 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender7 years agoWhy am I more attracted to guys a few years younger than me?
I'm 21, bisexual, and more attracted to guys. I am attracted to certain guys who are my age or a year younger (20), but I find that the majority of guys who I am attracted to are 17-19 years old. Also, I find that the guys who I'm attracted to, who are my age now, were more attractive when they were a few years younger (17-19). I'm at a complete loss here, but I just think that guys are better-looking at those ages. Why is that? Is there something wrong with me? Thank you.

2 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender8 years agoShould I message this person again (on dating site)?
I messaged someone back in July on a dating site. They responded to my first and second messages, then stopped. Then, after not logging on for over a month, they started logging on again in October, so I figured I'd give it one more try. I went straight to asking them if they would like to meet up. They said "Sure!!" So, I asked about that weekend, and they responded, "Busy." I then asked them when they're free, but they never messaged back. Within a week, they disabled their account, and now, about a month later, I was looking through profiles in my area and noticed that they were logged on today. Should I even bother trying to talk to them again? Could they have just been busy and that's why they never responded to my last messages? Thanks for any advice.

3 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender8 years agoIs my friend being a jerk or am I overreacting?
I texted my best friend a while ago to see if he wanted to hang out tonight. He said he would, and that he was going to text another one of our friends who we hang out with. He then texted me back and said that they're playing basketball and asked me if I wanted to go. Now, I don't like to waste a weekend night playing basketball. I would much rather go to the mall or somewhere like that. And he knows that I don't like playing basketball. This is the second time he has done this. It really pisses me off because until I texted him, he had no plans tonight, and then he made plans with someone else without involving me. It just really drives me crazy. Am I overreacting, or is my friend really being a jerk? Thanks.

2 AnswersFriends8 years agoWhat should I say when I message someone on a dating site?
I recently found someone in my area on a dating site and I want to send them a message, but I'm new to this, so I don't know what to say. I've read online that the usual greetings (Hey, What's up, etc...) aren't the best option and don't get a response as often as other greetings. I do know what town this person lives in, so my friend said that I should say something like ("Hey, I saw that you are from (town). Did you go to (town name) high school?"), but I'm not sure about this. Does that sound kind of creepy lol? What should I say? Thank you for any advice.

1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoWhat do you think of this idea?
I recently found someone in my area on a dating site who I find very attractive, and I would like to message them and hopefully end up meeting them after some time, but I would like to know if I should follow through with this idea before I message them. On each person's profile on this site, there is a section about what they do on a typical Friday night, and this person listed the store that they work at. So, I thought that I could go to this store just to see what they look like in person compared to their pictures. What do you think about this idea??? Also, I don't have a profile picture on this site yet, so they wouldn't recognize me. Is this alright to do? Thanks.
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoAre there any other bisexual guys like this?
I'm bisexual, but while I'm only emotionally attracted to guys, girls seem to turn me on quite a bit more than guys do. If I'm out somewhere and I see a hot guy and a hot girl, I'll be a lot more turned on by seeing the girl. Even most gay porn doesn't turn me on anywhere near as much as straight porn does. What I find odd though is that while girls seem to turn me on more than guys, I'm only emotionally attracted to guys, so I'm only interested in a relationship with a guy, and if I could be in a relationship with or have sex with anyone, it would be a guy. I've never felt any emotional attraction to a girl, and I always imagine myself being with a guy, so I don't understand why girls turn me on more than guys. Is anyone else like this? Thanks.
7 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender8 years agoOpinion on wearing pride wristbands?

My reason for wearing one would be to hopefully let gay or bi guys know that I'm bi. But even if that doesn't happen, I'd still like to wear one. What do you think about this? Thank you. Also, have any of you ever worn a pride wristband before and actually had another LGBT person notice it and ask you out or anything like that? I know that sounds pretty far-fetched lol, but I just thought I'd ask anyway.

3 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender8 years agoHave you ever had a friend like this?
I have this friend who I have been hanging out with for like 3 years, along with my brother and another one of our friends. I really get along well with this him, but something bothers me about him. He's the kind of person who if you don't text him, you don't really hear from him. He never initiates hanging out. I almost get the impression that if I stopped texting him tomorrow, it wouldn't bother him too much. Another thing that annoys me is that he NEVER talks about anything besides everyday stuff. He never talks about relationships, who he might like, or anything else like I've talked about with my other friend. He's never even commented on an attractive girl or anything like that. It's almost like I don't really know him as well as I should after 3 years. Have you ever had a friend like this? Thanks.
