i live in a very rural apartment complex that has free wifi. Sounds great but the signal is intermittent and weak constantly. They have had no luck figuring out why from day 1. Experts from Chicago have even been called in to no avail. I have a laptop with built-in wifi. I have no access to the antennae/router either. What is a way to boost the signal? Can I make an antennae somehow or should I buy repeater, or what? I don't have cable or a tv either...All the fixes I've seen require a router, access, etc. Do I have any options with just my laptop? (beercan sounded interesting but needs a router)

I am wanting to try out egg carving using dremel and dental drill bits. I am disabled and can't spend much money so this seemed like a cheap fun hobby. I did see one drill bit from a company that makes lots of bits but at 25.00 per bit, that's not going to work lol Thanks for any help you can give me.
