Is radioactive sea water going to create radioactive rain?
Since Japan has been dumping radioactive sea water non stop, does this also have an effect on the rain, i.e. will the rain become radio active as well?
3 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agoAre soda crystals dangerous?
Are soda crystals dangerous when they have not been mixed with water yet?
I spilled some on the floor, vacuumed it away, but since we have children playing on the floor, just wanted to know whether powder or small hidden parts may be harmful or not?
It also says that it will irritate your skin, but it fell over my hand, and so far nothing. Is this because it hasn't been in contact with water yet? I did wash my hands three times in the mean time.
3 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoWas there a river in the Taiwan strait during the last ice age?
The isobaths (Lines of depths) of the map of the taiwan strait seem to suggest a valley created by a river. Does anyone know there used to be a river prior to the big flood of the last ice melt?
Thanks in advance
3 AnswersTaiwan1 decade agoDo they automatically check bollino blu in Parma, Italy?
Is there, like the varchi for the ZTL in the old city center in Parma, also cameras for the bollino blu zone? I had to pass this zone a couple times for the hospital and wasn't aware of it until my return.
Thank you in advance.
1 AnswerOther - Italy1 decade agoDo boxing day sales in UK go on on Sunday the 27th and Monday the 28th?
Just wanted to make sure as here, we don't open on Sunday at all and Monday has been declared a public holiday. Debenham and HMV are my main interests. Thank you in advance!
1 AnswerOther - United Kingdom1 decade agoCMV - progressive hearing loss, constant pain in the ears and doctors don't have a clue. What to do next?
I have been diagnosed with CMV, probably gained since birth. I have been having progressive hearing loss since birth with a loss of 65 db on each ear from the beginning until 85-95 Db on each ear now. Since August, I have been getting these chronic pain on left ear, which happens to be the worse ear. I have been to ear specialists, virologists, regular doctors, acupuncturists, and all have the same answer: too complicated, sorry we don't know enough about this area yet...
I am not a quitter, so therefore my call for help, is there anyone else with similar experiences or someone who may shed some light on this matter?
Only SERIOUS answers, and not just "go to see a doctor", because I have DONE that. Only professional or personal experience please. Thank you.
Infectious Diseases1 decade agoWhat diet for someone with heart condition?
Since I have a case of aortastenosis (leaking of the aortic valve), I would like to know what diet I can go through without having rythmic problems. I am currently taking a beta block to stabilize the heart rythm, being successful for 90 percent. My cholesterol level is very low, at 60, so no issue there. But I am overweight 25 kg. So I really want to do something about that.
7 AnswersHeart Diseases1 decade agoWhy is swine flu on the rise in Thailand as it is not cold or rainy season there now?
As swine flu or Mexican flu is on the rise in Thailand, I had this question. They say flu is most likely to spread in rainy or cold season, but that is not the case in Thailand. Why is it spreading so rapidly now?
Also, is everybody wearing masks there now?
5 AnswersThailand1 decade agoAs we have a flight change in Bangkok airport, do we have to be scared of swine (or Mexican) flu?
As we will be flying from Amsterdam to Bangkok with a flight change to Taipei, I wanted to make sure that Bangkok airport is to be considered safe from Swine flu or Mexican flu.
Should we wear masks? We are a family of 4 with 2 children of 2 years old and 4 years old.
Thank you in advance
3 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoWhat is de big deal about Durbuy?
We just visited Durbuy and all we could find was a charming little town (no doubt about that), but with tons of bikers and awkward tourists. There are sports possibilities, but this is by no means a place to go for families with small children (such as ours). And it is absolutely not a place to go to for peace and quietness.
Did I miss something or do I just prefer to stay in my little hometown without all the bikers and tourists... I want nature without the tourists...
Thanks in advance
3 AnswersBelgium1 decade agoHearing Aid for all my life... I need help now...?
I am now 30 years old and I am wearing hearing aids since my 8 years old. Although I am used to them, I have never found anyone else with the same issue in my direct environment.
I have often issues of tinnitus (sounds in ear), balance issues, speaking problems...
And this is affecting my image at work. I have tried to communicate this to my bosses, in any way possible, and they just don't seem to get it.
Is there anyone that can relate to this and give me some advice. I am working in a highly-competitive IT department and sometimes, I just can't handle it anymore. I just don't seem to be able to explain it to anyone and find myself alone again...
I have my wife and 2 children and my job is the only income for the family, so therefore my sincere call for help.
Thanks in advance.

I am planning a trip to go Taiwan and would now like to go check out the East Coast of Taiwan, which as I have heard, seems to have the most beautiful beaches. Could you please tell me what are the best places to visit, both nature and culture wise?
Thank you in advance

Is there less air pollution (fine particles) in windy areas? Does the wind sort of blow away the fine particles so it makes it a little better to breath, or does it not make any difference?
Thanks in advance!
