1) About a month ago, I purchased 2 baby betta fish from petco (one looks male and the other female). They are both in separate 2.5 gallon tanks, but only one of them seems to be growing. I clean there aquariums once a week and feed them BettaMin flakes and Frozen brime shrimp. What is wrong?

2) Can ghost shrimp survive without a heater or a filter. The water is kept at about 70 degrees F.

My Ghost Shrimp had babies on Saturday and I have no idea how to care for them. They are in a seperate tank from the mother with my baby ramhorn snails. I put them in a dark area because I heard they swim towards to light and hit themselves on the aquarium walls and die. Right now I am feeding them fish food flakes dissolved in water and frozen baby brine shrimp. My order of java moss will not around for another week and I need to keep them alive until then.

These baby betta fish are about 5-6 weeks old and I am having trouble sexing them. Can you please tell me if they are male or female AND what kind of betta they are.

Yesterday I got 2 baby bettas from petco that are less than a half and inch long. They are housed in separate tanks and are swimming around perfectly. Can you please tell me anything you know about taking care of these babies (feeding, housing, etc.)

I already have a nice aquarium set up with a filter and air bubbles, and tomorrow I am going to go to the pet store and buy a baby betta fish, but I was wondering if I can buy 2 and keep them together.

I am not a newbie to aquatic plants, but I am a newbie to elodea. I bought some elodea at my LFS store about a month ago and so far there has been minimal growth. Instead it seems to be dying. When I bought it, it came with a white spongey material wrapped around it to keep the elodea in a bunch. Also, my elodea has no root growth at all! Can you please give me advice on how to grow my elodea? Thank you!!

Okay so today I went to petco and they gave me zero answers to my questions so I decided to go on here and ask.

1) What does a Stress Coat water conditioner actually do to help my fish? Will it heal any injuries they have?

2) How can I make my live freshwater plants grow, they were doing great, but now they are turning yellow. Any advice one what to do about that? (the plants are an Amazon Sword hybrid).

3) In my 40 gallon aquarium, I have neon tetras, platies, mollies, skirt tetra, ghost shrimp, snails, and plecos. Would aquarium salt be beneficial for all of these fish?

4) Does having dying or plants that died and are slowly growing back harmful to my fish? Will it rise the ammonia or pH of my water?

5) Should I buy this freshwater plant food or freshwater plant fertilizer for my plants or will they be okay without it?
