The wide layout sucks!

I have a new internal regulated alternator(Delco 12SI). New EZ wire harness. I get 12.8v with engine off, 14.4v engine on? Generator light only comes on when alternator starts charging at rpms, but once it is on it stays on even at idle or rev. If I start the truck with no revs light stays off and i have 12.9v, I give it revs and light comes on and I am at 14.9 then back down to idle and have 14.4 with light on?

Any ideas?

will it still work without the Starter Interrupt, and the (+) Ignition Input hooked up? If not how can I bypass it. I am wanting just the basic alarm functions none of the options, due to previous passlock issues.

I have a 1998 s10 2.2l, 2wd. 130k miles. It will start for 3sec. then die. My key does not have the chip in it, it is the older passlock system.

This is a list of things tried or replaced.

1. Passlock Reset (10min & 30min & 60min) nothing happens, I try to start, it dies and then security light flashes non stop.

2. Disconnected Engine Disable on Alarm (aftermarket DEI just alarm/engine disable, no remote start)

3. Checked Fuses

4. Used Fuel Pump, same psi as my original.

5. Fuel Filter

6. Crank Position Sensor

7. Oil Pressure Sensor

8. Idle Air Control Valve

9. Tested Power to Pump 11.8volts

10. Fuel Pressure 37psi? (With a homemade piece together psi gauge)

11.4month old Optima battery

12. It does have fresh gas in the tank

13. Plugs wires less than 6mos. old

Any help would be much appreciated, before I take it to the stealership.
