21 years old and far too obsessed with fictional things. It's getting to be a problem.

  • Is Eragon a rip-off of The Lord of the Rings?

I think so, I was just wondering how many other people thought so. For those who disagree, I will provide my evidence in detail after I receive a few answers.

  • Any suggestions for books to read?

Yes, I realise this question has been asked before but I couldn't find any that related to me well enough. I just finished rereading The Lord of the Rings and am at a loss as to what to read now. My favourite books aside from Professor Tolkien's work are The Book Thief and I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Harry Potter by JK Rowling, The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis, and Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer.

  • Where can I watch Fringe online?

Okay, so I've decided to re-watch the earlier episodes of Fringe and can't find a site that has a video of the second episode (The Same Old Story) that hasn't expired or been deleted. Can anyone help? Please don't say Hulu - I've already checked. Thanks in advance!

  • What fictional character has touched your life the most?

NOTE: This doesn't necessarily mean it's a character you like - it's just a character that has affected you. Feel free to name more than one. Here are mine (and the reasoning):

Samwise Gamgee because he proves that someone can be true and faithful and naive and still be hopeful when times are bad.

Fred and George Weasley because they show that life is a joke and you have to laugh your way through it.

Luna Lovegood for proving that weird people are the most fun and that conspiracy theories are amazingly amusing.

Susan Pevensie for proving that human beings are fallible creatures that choose not to believe in the truth.

Artemis Fowl for showing that sometimes the good guys have to be bad and sometimes the bad guys have to be good.

Yagami Light for proving the violent, arrogant, egotistic nature of human beings.

L Lawliet and Nate "Near" River for proving the intelligence, self-assurance, and justice of human beings.

Edward and Alphonse Elric for how one choice, one mistake, can change your life into tragedy in an instant.

  • How can I recover data from my USB flash drive?

Okay, before you answer please read the details. I was typing a story from a flash drive on a laptop. After a while, I noticed this strange, high-pitched buzzing. Then I noticed that the light from my flash drive (which is always on when it is read, unless the laptop is on standby), wasn't on. I went to see what was going on and tried to save my story. Instead of saving, it brought up the 'save as' box. I went to 'my computer' and the flash drive was no longer being read by the laptop. I saved the story to the laptop and restarted the computer. When I tried to use my flash drive, the computer would not read it. Is there any way that I can recover data from the flash drive even when the computer does not read it?

Please be serious in answering - I'm a writer and all of my stories were on this flash drive. If I can't recover the data, I don't know what I'll do. I'll have lost everything but the one story I was working on. Please help - I'm desperate.

  • What would be a good book for a review?

I just started a journalism class and was wondering what some popular books people were reading that were around the ages of 15 to 18. Please list recent books; this is for a newspaper. Thanks for the help! I just can't think of any recent books that are good to review. Please do not say Breaking Dawn - no one would understand that I enjoyed the book when I would say the plot line of the saga is pretty ridiculous.

  • Why do you think people are trigger-happy with the thumbs down button?

I have recently been confused as to why seemingly harmless posts get many thumb downs. Anyone care to explain?

  • Would you ever reread a book?

I was curious as to how many people are truly opposed to rereading books.
