Are the tactics of Palin calling small towns "Pro American" having a negative affect on people/election?
I am asking this because I did not believe it would...I was wrong. A person on Y/A asked the question whether he is American. The reason for the question... he was born in Portland now lives in Seattle, parents are German and Mexican, and has 3 active passports. Of course he is American because he was born on American soil!
As I said before I thought it had no affect on people at all, apparently I was wrong. Tell me what is your opinion?
4 AnswersElections1 decade agoDo you believe Exxon Mobil and other oil companies need a tax break?
It is reported today that Exxon Mobil has shattered their profit records. In their third quarter alone, for 2008, profits for the company were $14.83 billion dollars! $14.83 billion dollars!

They are just one of the corporations that get the big tax breaks here in America. Yet a large sum of Americans have more than 10% taken out of their paychecks for taxes. I do not believe the Exxon Mobil corporate monkeys are struggling to buy a gallon of milk, pay their light bill, send their children to school, or suffer the everyday struggles most of us do.
Yet, that is exactly what McCain's tax plan would do. Put more money into the hands of oil companies. It is fact, a study done by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, concluded McCain's tax cuts would give $200 billion to corporations and $4 billion to oil companies.

Most say that the taxes are given to the oil companies to help pursue and complete projects. Then why are we the retards in energy efficient technology? Let's be honest with ourselves, do the Exxon Mobil's of the world need more money?
5 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhy is no one talking more about John McCain ties w/Gordon Liddy?

For his role in Watergate, which he coordinated with Hunt, Liddy was convicted of conspiracy, burglary and illegal wiretapping, and received a 20-year sentence.
In 1998 Liddy hosted a fundraiser at his house for John McCain's re-election campaign at which guests could have their pictures taken with McCain and Liddy. Over the years, Liddy, who has referred to McCain as "an old friend," has made at least four contributions totaling $5,000 to the senator's campaigns -- including $1,000 in 2008. When David Letterman asked McCain about his relationship with Liddy, McCain said, "Who?" Then, following a commercial break, McCain said "I know Gordon Liddy. He paid his debt. He went to prison and paid his debt, as people do. I'm not in any way embarrassed to know Gordon Liddy." In his 1980 autobiography Liddy made plans to kill journalist Jack Anderson.
What makes the actions and associates of McCain different from Barack Obama? What makes Gordon Liddy such a better man than Willam Ayers?
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDo you believe McCain/Palin truly understand real american economics, poor and middle class?
Just released... Palin "Pipeline Terms" Curbed Bids!
Now I do not know what more to say... First we find out the RNC and McCain campaign spent over $150k on a new wardrobe for Palin and her family. At stores that most people in politics do not shop and bought possessions most do not possess in government (7yr old & Louis Vutton bag). Now an report that she gave a job that will probably go undone, she gave the job to her friends so they can make money!
I know for me, I am ready for a change. A change where all people have an opportunity to live the "American Dream."
With McCain/Palin I feel it will be a constant, a statisticly proven increase in the "RICH GETTING RICHER, POOR GETTING POORER." That is not what this country is so suppose to be about and I do not believe McCain/Palin understand that in any form!
14 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs Movkit Batch Video Converter compatible with Windows Vista?
When ever I try to convert a movie, it will not convert. The time at the bottom of the screen indicating the process is moving, but nothing is happening. Yet it is putting a blank version of the file format onto my cpu. It is as if I am being blocked out some how!
