What would cause a newly installed brake booster to hiss?
A friend of mine and myself installed a new brake booster into my truck and the new booster is making a hissing sound as if air is escaping (or being sucked in). What would cause this in a new booster? Also, if it helps, I am now getting a check engine light that is throwing an error for the O2 sensor.....never had a CEL prior to installing the booster.
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs4 years agoI am looking to purchase my first AR15 and need some good recommendations from those with experience.?
Ok, I am wanting to buy my first AR15 and have been told I should compile a list of what I must have and what I will be using it for. So here are the main uses for my future AR: 1) Target shooting (won't be used very often, maybe once a month 20-30 rounds each session) 2) Hunting (this will vary based upon necessity....if for some reason out of our control we were forced to hunt for food then I will need a solid rifle for hunting.....will need to be durable 3) Self/Home Defense (this will not be my first go to weapon as I have several other options that make more sense). Thats about all of my uses for the AR
7 AnswersHunting7 years agoAnyone on here ever traveled through New York with handguns (locked away of course)?
I reside in New Hampshire and am going to be driving down to Virginia for a week long vacation. Unfortunately New York is the gateway from New England to the rest of the continental United States. Is it still legal to travel through New York/New Jersey with unloaded handguns locked in a safe in the trunk? I have searched several websites and there is no straight forward answer to my question......i know federal law protects me but i don't want/need any unnecessary issues with the law......someone who has experience would be most helpful. thanks in advance
4 AnswersNew York City7 years agoIs this a good deal for this particular Sig Sauer pistol?
Just curious to know if this is a good buy or should I steer clear...I understand this is likely a low end sig model but the price seems great for what it is. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/mobile/product/...
2 AnswersHunting7 years agoShould I pay off my credit card (in full) as soon as i get the statement or make monthly payments?
I am in my early 30's and have never had a credit card, never had a use for one really, until now. I have never had anyone to teach me about how credit works, how to manage it, etc. I now have a partially secured card and checking account both through Bank of America and am trying to build up some credit. My question is how do i do that......is it better to pay my card in full as soon as i get the statement or to make a little more than the minimum payment every month. I have been getting conflicting information from others so i dont know what to believe or what process seems to be the "better" solution.
10 AnswersCredit7 years agoAnyone else have problems with their Springfield XD40's mags with HD ammo (both inserting and releasing)?
I recently purchased a springfield xd40 (not XDm) and have shot about 200 rounds of 180gr fmj's through it and it operated as it should through every round. I went to test my Cor Bon pow'rball ammo and with a full mag the mag will not lock into place unless forced, then it will not release unless i push up on the mag and press the release at the same time. Anyone else have similar issues? Thicker casings possibly?
1 AnswerHunting7 years agoAny ideas on the Springfield XD40 for a bedside firearm?
I own a ruger sr40 and love the gun. I recently purchased it and put about 500 rounds through it so far (no hiccups whatsoever and the gun is as accurate as can be). I am looking to use the SR as my desk gun and possibly pick up an XD for my bedside firearm. Anyone own one of these XD's and would you bet your life on it? Btw, i am talking about the Service XD, not the XDm.
7 AnswersHunting7 years agoIs the Ruger SR40 a good entry level firearm?
Looking into purchasing a firearm and am playing with about $400. I went to the gun store and handled a few different pistols including the S&W SD40, a used glock 19, and the Ruger SR40. Out of all of these firearms the SR40 imo looks better and fits my hand better than the other two. So anyone own an SR40 and have you had good results with it?
16 AnswersHunting7 years agoI just had both front axles replaced on my 99 acura TL, now it seems there is slipping in the tranny/axles?
Just had both cv joints replaced and now it seems my tranny is slipping (only 2 days later). I have never had ANY transmission issues prior to the shop replacing the axles. Is it likely they messed something up or is this possibly just coincidence? I checked the fluid levels and they seem fine but I have no idea why my transmission is slipping, just seems like bad timing for it to have occurred on its own.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs7 years agoDoes a firearm have to be completely visible to be considered "open carry"?
Curious to know if a firearm has to be completely visible to be considered "open" or does it just need to be partially visible , such as leaving the grip exposed while tucked in your clothing.
12 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoSometimes I receive calls on my iPhone and it says press 1 to accept, press 2 to decline, etc., why?
I have no idea why an incoming call would ask me to accept. It's almost as if someone were calling collect. Any ideas?
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans7 years agoWhat does a "closed account" mean on my credit report?
I have 3 closed accounts on my credit report totaling $751.00 (not much to me now but there was a time when i couldn't pay anything on it). Does this mean that i can no longer pay on these accounts and have them positively affect my credit? Any help will be greatly appreciated in this matter. Thanks in advance
4 AnswersCredit7 years agoDoes anyone know if there is an app or a way to delay a text message (to write it and send it at a later time)?
I was just wondering if there was a way to delay a text. I think its a great idea personally due to the fact that i cant have my phone in my workplace for security reasons (the camera is not allowed), so i would like to send a timed text if its at all possible. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans8 years agoI have some dental issues that will require surgery, can I carry 2 insurance policies?
I have had dental issues for many years. I started working for a new company 3 years ago but always received the benefits enrollment package after the enrollment deadline (this seems to be a common occurrence). I was finally able to enroll for the upcoming year. I went with the delta enhanced dental package due to the fact that I need a lot of work. I am wondering if I can also carry a secondary or "backup" insurance to pickup where ever my primary insurance leaves off to reduce out of pocket costs. Is this possible? Sorry but I was in construction (paid under the table most of my life) and am pretty dumb to the fact of how insurance policies/companies work. Any other suggestions as to what I can do to reduce out of pocket costs.
7 AnswersInsurance8 years agoWhat is a good quality, lifelike doll for a 5 year old?
My daughter is asking for an American Girl doll for Christmas? All of the reviews I have read about these dolls say that they are definitely not worth the asking price. Cost is not an issue here. I am just wanting to find her a good quality doll that we can buy accessories for. She is only 5 but she really does take good care of her dolls. Any suggestions?
1 AnswerToys8 years agoIf a rental property is sold can the new owner retain a security deposit?
Ok, my mother in law got an eviction notice due to the property she is renting being sold to a new owner. She has to be out by December 22nd. The new owner is asking her to pay the entire month of December and he says he is going to retain the security deposit as well (whether they pay the month or not). My questions are 1) can he charge a full months rent to someone who already received an eviction notice and has to be out after only 3 weeks? and 2) can he retain the security deposit even though he has no idea what the property looked like before they moved in? This sounds a little crazy to me but what do I know?

2 AnswersHome Theater9 years agoWhat is a good dry scalp treatment for mixed (mulatto) people?
I am mulatto, male, and have a close cut fade. My white side shows through more than my black side. I have dark brown hair but with the texture like that of most African americans. It is hard to find a good dry scalp treatment. Any suggestions? It can be a daily treatment or whatever. I just need to get something so I can stop using "cover up" oils and greases.
3 AnswersHair9 years agoCreatine--dose per body weight or per label recommendation?
I am getting conflicting results for this question. I am asking because I have been dosing daily for about 4 weeks now and have not noticed any gains from this stuff. I am taking creatine mono 5g per day, I am 6' 3" tall and 208 lbs. I usually drink about 3/4 of a gallon of water per day. Has anyone had similar issues with creatine, am I possibly not taking enough, or maybe not drinking enough water?
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agoDo fitness/bodybuilding supplements really work?
I ask this question because after 10 years I have recently gotten back into the gym with a buddy of mine and he is taking creatine, pro sculpt, whey protein, and several other supplements. I am only taking whey protein and I seem to be gaining more muscle than him without all of the extra supplements. We do have similar body structures but I am a bit taller. So are supplements other than whey protein really worth the money?
Also, has anyone ever tried andro fuel?
