I'm 16, I love food, music, and life! I'm a staunch Christian and Republican, but all are welcome to talk to me. I'm not particular... required that you are a person. I don't want random emails from peoples pets.... as far as the nickname goes, I had an incident where I got peanut butter all over my hair during a silly contest and when I try to open my locker, my friends say I look like a rabid chipmunch, thus, PB Chipmunk! :) I'll answer your questions... please answer mine if you can!

  • School Paper Names for class?

My journalistic writing class is looking for names for our paper. We could use some ideas. Our mascot is the Monarchs, like lions. Anything to do with royalty or lions would be appreciated. Ten points to the best answer, should we choose it!

  • Birth control issues for minors?

I know that my state allows prescriptions for birth control without consent from the parents. My bf and I have been together now for about eight months, we're 17, and though we plan to use condoms, i'm WAY too young to get pregnant. He's had sex before, so I'm insisting on condoms, but I'm still a virgin. I'm scared enough about a first time and I don't want to have to worry about pregnancy at the same time.

My parents are both very religious and are healthcare professionals, so everytime i mention sex, they sit me down and have a "sex talk" where they tell me all the scary stories about the bad things that can happen if I have premarital sex. I'm well aware, but I still want to. I checked for planned parenthood in my area, but it's a half hour away. I have my liscence, but i'm not allowed to drive out of the area (so, basically, in town). I also have no income. It's my understanding that you can get it for free at a lot of clinics if you dont' have a job, so that's good. But how do I find a clinic? And how do I get a prescription? and how long do I have to take the pill before having sex? Sorry... lots of questions, but I'm SOOO new, and SOOO scared. It'll be a while before we get a chance, since we dont' get a ton of alone time, but i'd like to be prepared, and we've got plenty of time, but just in case...

    Thanks in advance!!!

  • Books like Crime and Punishment?

I have a friend who wants to be a lawyer (both of us do) and the only book I've ever convinced him to read was Crime and Punishment, and from his reaction, he loves it. He's also read Sherlock Holmes and Death of a Salesman, but I'm looking for other books to give him to actually spark a love of literature in him. Any suggestions?

Could it be the hair that is pushing the o8 election along? An article out of hartford suggests that it might have been the deciding factor in many past elections?

So the question is, which candidate do you believe has the do that will do?

    may the best hair win!

  • So I could use a little advice from shy guys...?

I'm going to my first formal and it's with this really shy guy who I have a huge crush on. He doesn't like dancing, but he's going with me anyway. He made up some stupide excuse why he accepted, but I think he may like me too. How do I make this the least amount uncomfortable for him? You know, quick and painless? It would be easier if I had done this before, but like I said, this is my first time with this sort of thing and I'm already nervous I'll do something stupid. How can I make this an enjoyable experience for him and myself and maybe get a second date out of it? Any tips? Any specifics, personal experiences, or general tips would be helpful! Thnx in advance! btw... I'm sixteen, he's seventeen.

  • who else is bothered that...?

Oprah is considered to be a traitor and whatnot for voting for Obama because she is a woman and not voting for the female candidate...

What if she was supporting Hillary? Wouldn't she then be a traitor because she is black and not voting for the black candidate?

Why can't she just advocate for the person who she believes will do the best job as president, be they Obama or Paul? Why is race and gender even an issue? Who else is bothered by the ignorance of this?

  • What to do about cell phones?

I teach 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School. at least half of the class (there's about thirty students, any given week) have cell phones of their own. I'm 16 and our family owns 3 cell phones, but i hardly ever have any of them, because i have two older sisters, and i certainly can't call any of them "mine". Does this seem unfair to you?

if so, how would you suggest i approach my highly educated, barely movable, money tight parents about my own cell phone, especially when my oldest sister screwed up on cell phones and credit cards?

  • Does anybody else...?

Does anybody else here get ticked off at all the party bashing going on? I may be a republican, but many of my friends are democrats. I don't call them socialist and they don't call me fascist, because we're not. if you look up the facts on those two, you'll see that you're being ridiculous. Also, what's all this about down syndrome? get a life, people! just because you don't like what people say doesn't mean they can't be right! Did you know that TR had a much lower approval rating than bush ever has had when he was in office and he probably saved the free world? I'm not saying Bush is perfect, only time will tell, but I think we need to not judge so much, but rather make desicions based on fact and quit making stupid comments when you don't know what you're saying. I have half a mind to report you people! i have reported some. No, barak is not Osama. no, Huckabee is not a hick. The down syndrom remarks ared just ignorant. Please let me know if you disagree or agree and why. be civil.

  • Did i do the right thing?

I recently had an issue where i did more than i meant to with a guy i like who is not my bf. i had been told by friends before the incident that i shouldn't hang out with him, but i did anyway. i felt terrible and very guilty about everything. (he's 19, i'm 16). i was talking to my bff a little while after and he told me (he's 20) that he doesn't want me to talk to guy 1 anymore. so i haven't been talking to him. a couple of my friends have said i did the right thing, but the rest are all telling me how i made a mistake and i'm ruining a great friendship. i saw him today and he waved at me. i know i still like him, but i felt so guilty about not talking to him and about what we did. did i do the right think by not talking to him?

for more information, we did not have sex, i've known him 4 years, and he's in college. my bff never ever tells me what to do, so this means he really cares. he was ready to kill guy 1 when he found out. i'm scared that if i did talk to him there would be a f

  • Hey, could i get some feedback on this poem?

it's not professional quality or anything, but i kinda like it and i'd like some feedback to progress my writing technique...

    Little pieces in my mind

    Floating, flying, I rewind

    Backwards, faster, have to find

    Something, somewhere, left behind

    Looking, searching, far to go

    Walking, running, crawling low

    Diving, swimming, sinking slow

    Crying, screaming, do you know?

    Darkness, shadows, drenched in blood

    Danger, silence, never loved

    Lonely, tired, under flood

    Humming, louder, pushed and shoved

    Crying, screaming, left behind

    Dying, writhing, death you’ll find.

  • What do I do, im so guilty?????

I've gone too far with a guy. we didn't have sex or anything, he just got more than he deserved and not as much as he wanted. I was an hour and a half late calling my dad. actually, the guy said, "id better get you home" and checked his messages on the way out to his car and my dad had called wondering where i was and i called him and my dad came and picked me up. then i find out when i get home that my dad had called my exbf, my band teacher, and he called my friend (who happened to have some friends over) and they collectively decided that my dad should call they guy i happened to be with, based on past history, and supplied him with the number. i'm grounded and i lied to my parents about just talking with him, nothing happening. but i feel guilty and i'll have to face all my friends and my teacher who know, and i know my friends will know the truth. what do i tell them? what do i tell my teacher? how do i keep it from my parents?
