I'm patting myself on the back for picking Carl for my new guy. Ive been hard core MM for 17 years. I thought about Tony, Jr., Casey, Jimmy and the Bush's.

It came out a toss up between Tony and Carl. I just like Carls attitude better, but Tony has done better so far.

Other than Poker hand odds and a list of tips from pros to be a last minute reminder, what would be in the book? And would you like to see an advanced quick reference guide.

Also I am looking for a list of the number of outs by type of hand.

Do any of you seasoned guys count outs to determine whether to fold or not? or Do you jsut use seat of the pants feel for the hand.

I kept track for 2 days of play at 50/100 tables. I tracked the hole cards amount won and the following play.

Folded hole cards immidiatly. 36

Called then folded before flop 18

Folded when I saw the flop or raises 23

Folded on the turn 21

folded on the river 17

lost on the river 15

would have won if I had stayed and paid 5 Not counted in total

Won 21 incl. 1 tie

I have just started playing on Full Tilt and have won over $21,000 in 11 days. I dont know if that is a sign I may have a newly discovered tallent. I have studied up on the basics and Advanced tips in a couple web sites and have the book Ace on the River by Barry Greenstien and Doyle Brunson. Are the books a waste of time. I'm new to Holdem but have played 5 and 7 card Stud, and Draw and the friendly type games for thirty years.
