Does the US government spend more then it takes in?
If I knowingly spend more then I make does that give me the right to demand my employer raise my salary to compensate for my bad financial management?

I'm not rich and have financial difficulty myself, however I don't have any illusions that someone owes me or I should be given the fruits of another persons labor.
