  • Fun games/activities for a 3 month old?

My son will be 3 months old on August 21st and I am constantly trying to think of ways to stimulate his mind and senses. I am always doing research and frequent websites like babycenter.com for ideas, but I was wondering what you guys might suggest. What do/did your children enjoy at this age? Also, if anyone knows of any other websites that have good ideas, please feel free to mention them. Thanks everyone!

  • My insurance has decided they are not going to cover my pregnancy?

My son was born on May 21st and we just received a notice from our insurance company saying that we "may owe" around $10,000 for a pregnancy that we thought was covered (we have been paying for maternity coverage and were never told throughout my entire pregnancy that we weren't covered). My husband spoke with a representative on the phone that said they basically decided on July 17th that they were going to deny our coverage- 2 months AFTER my son was born. If we had known this before we could have gone with a different insurance and had coverage, but now we are stuck with a huge bill and have been paying almost $600 per month out of our own pockets for the last year and a half for basically nothing. Has anything similar happened to anyone else and if so, what did you do about it? By the way, we have Anthem Blue Cross insurance.

  • Waking up earlier than usual, can't get back to sleep?

I am about 13 weeks pregnant and lately I have been waking up anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour before I have to in the morning, and I can't get back to sleep. I am wondering if this is because I have been more hungry in the morning than I was in the past. Before, I could go a couple hours after waking up before eating, but now it seems like I am hungry as soon as I wake up. Has anyone else experienced this? Would eating a snack before bed help at all? Any help is appreciated!

  • I seem to have more energy now that I'm pregnant?

I recently found out that I am pregnant and I have noticed a huge difference in the amount of energy I have throughout the day. Before, I felt tired at work all the time (I couldn't wait to get home so I could take a nap before dinner), I had trouble sleeping, and I simply felt worn out all the time. Now, I feel alert and awake the entire time at work, I haven't taken naps, and I have not had nearly as much trouble falling asleep as I did before. Is it possible that I am on some sort of natural "high" since finding out that I am pregnant? Did anyone else experience something like this?

I guess I should just enjoy it while it lasts!

  • Fun ways to get my husband involved in my pregnancy?

I recently found out that I am pregnant and I am trying to come up with ways to "include" my husband in my pregnancy. Of course he is already a part of it anyway, but I was trying to think of some neat things that will make him feel like he's important, too. It seems like people always lavish attention on the mother (and rightfully so!), but I just want to make sure all of his questions are answered and that he knows everything that is going on so he doesn't feel "left out". I do not expect him to come to all of my Dr. appointments because it is important for us that he be at work and make money. What are some unique ways that I can "keep him posted" so to speak?

  • I have my first doctor visit on October 18th....?

I just found out that I am pregnant and I have my first visit on October 18th. What are some things I should expect? I am going to call the office and ask them what I should do to prepare, etc, but I just thought I would ask some of you what your first visit as a pregnant woman was like. Thanks!

  • My face is a mess! Can anyone help?

I had beautiful, clear skin in high school and then around the time I turned 20, I started breaking out and it seems like it is slowly getting worse. It started as a little acne around my jawline but now it seems like a lot. It is also the type of acne that doesn't go away! It's not a bunch of small, teeny little zits, but larger, red sores, sort of, that just don't go away. I feel like I've tried EVERYTHING but nothing seems to work. I have even been to a dermatologist, but what she gave me did nothing except dry my skin out. Could anyone who has had a similar problem offer me some advice or suggest something that actually works? Thanks.
