  • Csgo framerate on this laptop?

    I m thinking of buying a laptop, the Acer aspire v3 372.

Its got an i5 6200U with Intel HD 520 graphics and 4Gb of RAM.

So I was wondering if it would be able to hold at least 50 frames per second running counter strike GO on the lowest settings and 1280x720.

I m quite sure the processor is up to it, just wondering whether the graphics processor is powerful enough.

Thanks in advance for any helpful answers!

  • Possible to use a tablet as a monitor?

I just bought a Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet, and have a little question.

Would it be possible to link it up with my desktop PC and use the tablet like a wireless touchscreen monitor for the desktop PC?

It runs windows 8, so I'm assuming it should be possible. It would be really nice, since my desktop is in the garage, and I can't be bothered going down there all the time, to be able to use the desktop throught the tablet.

And the desktop is running windows 7.

So, yeah.. Is it possible? If so, how?

  • Best phone to replace Nokia E71?

I've been using my E71 for 5 years or so (not entirely sure), and I'm now starting to feel it's age finally showing through. So, I thought, what would be a good phone to replace it.

It would have to have a front-facing full QWERTY keyboard, and be able to keep up with just basic web browsing, video viewing, email checking, note-keeping, and (obviously) calling. And it would be nice if it was Android, or accepted 3rd party apps like my E71 does.

One thing that I would put big emphasis on is the camera. I was thinking about the Nokia E6, but the camera is bad, very bad.

That's basically what I want in a phone, just asking you guys if you know anything like that.

And NO-ONE TALK ABOUT IPHONES. I tried using the 5S for a few weeks, absolute horrendous piece of garbage.

Problem for me is that the window pops up, but then closes immediately after. So I can't comment. Any ideas whats up?

  • Could my pc handle battlefield 4?

Does my PC meet the minimum requirements for Battlefield 4. If so, how far off is it from the recommended requirements?

    Heres the specs:

    AMD Phenom ii 2.8Ghz processor

    8 gb ram

    Windows 7 64 bit

    1gb AMD radeon hd 6750

And my screen has a resolution of 1280x1024, so I'll probably be playing in 1280x720

  • Why does VLC media player come up with this error?

Well, I recorded a video on my phone, but I couldn't play it on the phone for some reason. So I copied it over onto my computer and tried to play it, but VLC keeps coming up with this error message:

    No suitable decoder module:

VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

At first I thought it was because it was an AVI file, but it could play other videos fine that had the AVI extension. Then I checked whether my computer could handle the resolution (it was a 4K video), but it handled other 4K videos just fine, so I don't really know what's up?

(and if your wondering how I recorded a 4K video on my phone it was a time lapse.)

  • Nikon D5200 vs Canon EOS 650D in terms of video?

Which camera gives the better video quality? I'm looking to buy one and the video quality will be a big aspect. I know the D5200 offers 60i at 1080p, but interlaced is useless.

Which camera has a lesser pronounced Rolling shutter?

Which one displays less noise in video when using high ISO speeds?

Which one offers a higher degree of manual control before/during recording?

How well do the STM lenses work with the 650D in terms of autofocusfocus noise and speed [is it superior to the D5200]?

You get what i'm looking for with those questions. If have any links that'd be awesome!

Thanks for answering (if you do)

  • How to disable flash on Nokia E71?

I really don't like using the flash on my Nokia E71. Anyone know a way to work around this? Even when i set the flash to off, it fires a less intense flash for autofocusing, which is useless in bright light. So does anyone know a way to fully disable the flash? Or any app that does this?

  • Why do most people consider the Canon EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 not good for indoor sports photography?

Well, I was reading a few reviews of the Canon EF 100-400 F/4.5-5.6 lens and most of them said it wasn't really that useful for indoor sports photography without blur. Why is that so?

I have a Canon Powershot sx100 is, and it has a full manual mode. So I took it to night time cricket match and took some photos.

I got excellent photos (a bit noisy, but, meh, nothing I'm gonna print.) at 60mm ISO 800 f/4.5 and shutter speed of 1/800 without any blur on the ball or players.

So why do they say that it's not that good for indoor sports photography because it's too dark? I can't think of many things faster than a cricket ball whizzing around at 140km/h.

Anyone clarify this? Do SLRs behave differently or something? Or is there something I forgot?

  • How does Windows know if an application is a game or not?

So, when you install a game on Windows 7, sometimes, it is recognised as a game and a shortcut is put in the 'Games' library. Even if you install a game on a different computer then copy the files over to that computer, it will still recognise it as a game.

How does it do this? Does the program tell Windows that it's a game? Or does Windows check it against a list of games [I have seen that it doesn't recognise all games, like Assassin's Creed 3]. I believe it checks against a list of games, as even some old games [Age of Empires] are recognised as a game.

Is the method different for every game? Is there some special things Windows looks for?

Sorry about all the questions, just really curious of how it works.

  • How to bypass Parental Controls on Windows 7?

Well, my dad set up parental controls on my account, which isn't Administrator. So, I wish to play Age of Empires 2. After installing it, I launch it and then bam, parental controls blocks me from using it since it presents itself as a game.

I could play Assassin's Creed 3 perfectly fine as it wasn't recognised as a game.

Anyone know how bypass this problem? And I can't access command prompt or Task Manager either. And going in safe mode doesn't help.

And if it's of any importance I have Win 7 64-bit

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and please hold back on comments saying that you should listen to your dad and sh*t like that. It's Age of Empires, not Far Cry 3...

  • How is Apple's Mac OS X 'The World's Most Advanced Operating System'?

On the Apple website, they claim that the latest release of Mac OS X (Mountain Lion) is the world's most advanced operating system. What is so advanced about it? What can it do, that no other operating system do such a thing because it is so advanced? References would be nice, but no necessary.

  • Which lens should I get?

I'm looking to get either the Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 II DC OS HSM

Or the Sigma 18-250mm f3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS.

I'm basically asking if the latter lens is worth the extra $50. Also, would you know of any similar lenses in a similar price range which may be superior?

  • Something in the air?

I have a lamp which has a touch sensor to turn it on, so whenever you touch the sensor, the lamp turns on.

So I have been seeing it flicker on and off, when the lamp is supposed to be off....

Is there something up with the lamp? Or is there some kind of electrical charge in the air, because the sensor checks for an electric current (it turns on if you put a battery to it).....
