    Problem 1: Find the derivative of x^e + x^sqrt(10)

    I got [(x^e)(1+ln(e))] + [(x^sqrt(10))(1+ln(sqrt(10))] but it is wrong

    Problem 2

    Find all values of x at which the tangent line of the given curve satisfies the stated property

    y=((x^2)-1) / (x+2); parallel to the line y=x

    I got the derivative as (x^2 + 2x - 1) / [(x+1)^2], which is right, but im stuck as to how to find the values of x
