  • Can anyone name the font used on the *old* Belgian Franc notes?

Not the notes in circulation prior to the introduction of the Euro (which are Helvetica), but the ones before that.

  • Can anyone name the font used on the Belgian Franc and/or Belgian license plate?

I'm talking about the Belgian bank notes in circulation just before the introduction of the Euro.

  • Looking for ANY information regarding security cameras, CCTV, traffic cameras, etc...?

I once heard that the average person in London is photographed 800 times a day thanks to CCTV (closed circuit television).

I would like to find the official statistic of this claim, but ANY information/statistics/articles in regards to public video cameras would be helpful.

I have examples of things I'm looking for, from a map of Manhattan pointing out all cameras: http://www.mediaeater.com/cameras/maps/nyc.pdf , to statistics of a London borough regarding CCTV crime rates: http://www.hackney.gov.uk/cctv-stats-2008.pdf

I am organizing an international photography exhibit with the central theme of supervision and its role on society, and would like to incorporate as much info as possible.

    Thanks!

  • Cross-country road-trip (LA to NYC)... what to see/do?

I'm currently planning a cross-country road-trip from LA to NYC with a couple buddies in August... we're all mid-20 males and are just curious to hear about the must-see/do's along the way...

We're both European and enjoy crazy/cool stuff (anything from the obvious must-see's, to stupid town names and weird environmental formations)...

We also love our American fast food (which shouldn't be a problem).

We already have these things on our list:

Redrock Canyon, Death Valley, Vegas, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley... and that's about it... still need Utah all the way east.

Any recommendations would be a great help... I'm thinking of anything from great beer breweries, to iconic restaurants, chill places, strange places, or even a good place to find cheap lodgings.

Anything photogenic helps too, considering I'm a photographer.

    Thanks.

  • Why random characters when saving an image from website?

When I save an image from flickr.com for example I right click "Save Image As", and get something like this as the file name:

    "6d9ad732-76ad942c-bc319c32c2 .JPG"

Can anyone tell me why this is, where it comes from, and most importantly if there a way to trace this seemingly random filename back to an image or website it was taken from?

I am asking because I am a photographer who found someone passing my pictures as their own, which angers me beyond belief.

    Thanks

  • HELP! My computer won't play videos, it plays exactly 2 seconds and freezes, youtube, googlevid, myspace, etc.

I've seen this question in here before, but no one answered it. I'm not a moron, I realize about buffering, I have cable connection, never had any problems with it, EVER.

This problem only started yesterday, EVERY video site has been affected (youtube, googlevideo, even myspace video).

I downloaded new Flash yesterday, and it seemed to work again, now I turn on my computer and same problem once again!

Even if I fast forward through the clip, it will play exactly 2 seconds, and stop... it will continute loading until it's completely done... it just won't ever play!??

And please don't tell me its my computer either, I have a 2 month old Alienware, I doubt its out of date.

But also don't tell me I have to reinstall Flash every time I want to watch a video...!?!?

    PLEASE HELP!?
