  • Six weeks until new baby. What do i need?

So first baby is due on the 23rd of October, just six weeks away, and i've ordered my crib, pram and car seat, all to be delivered end of September just in case baby makes an early appearance, but I haven't bought anything else. I intend to go shopping this weekend to get everything I need, before I lose all my energy, but the question is what do I need?

We're living in a mobile home at the minute whilst our house is fixed, we had a fire in July, so I only want to have the necessities to save on space, but don't want my baby to do without. I hope you can help.

If you can also let me know what I should be packing for the hospital I would appreciate it too :)

  • Given maternity leave date but want to leave now, can I?

I've given my maternity leave dates as the 28th of September and this has been accepted, however, I hate my job, and the stress of just coming in here everyday is really getting to me. I know I don't have long to go but I was wondering if there is anyway of leaving immediately? Is a doctors note the only way to do it? I could do this if necessary but don't really want to.

    Any help really appreciated

  • 29 weeks pregnant and dizzy since I got up?

I got up this morning about 8am to go to work, slept in as usual :) But from the moment I got up i've been feeling dizzy. It felt like the bedroom was spinning and if I moved my head quickly my legs would go. I had to have my husband drive me to work because I didn't feel confident driving. I've noticed now that i'm at work (in an office, sitting down most of the day) i'm taking waves of dizziness for no apparent reason and my vision is a little blurry in my left eye. I've been up for two hours now and it still hasn't abated. What do you think could be causing this?

Things that could be related but might not be: Last night I was getting pains in my stomach I put it down to indigestion, then I had my usual night-time heartburn which I took Gaviscon for, for the first time. Then during the night I was waking up with small leg and foot cramps and tingling in my arms and hands. All little things that are probably unrelated but thought i'd mention them just in case.

I don't know what to do! I can't leave my work because I have no car and I took 2 weeks off sick because we had a house fire and it put me a bit mental-only back to work on monday :s but this spinning feeling is making me feel sick. Help!

  • Do you think three BFP's is enough :)?

I'M PREGNANT! I'm sooooo happy. Got my third BFP this morning so now i believe it.

Thank you ladies so much for your help over this last year we've been trying and i've proved what all of you said was right, it does take a healthy couple a year of trying to get pregnant (pretty much to the day) :) I hope there's lots more baby dust out there for you all!

  • My temp has dropped but no AF. Could i still be?

We BD'd at ovulation, AF is four days late but my temperature has dropped for the last two days, is there any chance i'm pregnant? I still want to wait a few days to see what happens before taking a test because, i'm trying not to get my hopes up, but as you all know that's damn difficult. So, is it possible for your temp to drop (98.67 on thursday to 97.34 today) and still be pregnant?

  • Burning 3500 calories per day?

I have just bought a calorie counter watch and chest strap, i've just completed my first 24 hours of wearing it and it would seem to suggest that I burn just over 3500 calories per day, this seems very high to me. I consume about 1500 calories per day but yet I seem to be gaining weight. Can anyone explain this?

I entered my age, weight etc. into the watch when i first got it and I slept and worked all day with the belt and watch on.

  • How long until you start burning fat reserves?

They say if you don't eat within 45 minutes of waking your body think's your starving and starts to store fat but how long is it until you start to burn your fat reserves? I'm only asking out of interest and have no intention of starving myself to see if the time you tell me is true lol.

  • Tunisian money-what's the deal?

I read on a website that it is illegal to import or export Tunisian Dinar in or out of Tunisia so this has raised a few questions: Does Tunisia except any other currency? Can I only withdraw Dinar from ATM once in Tunisia? What if I have some left when leaving, will the hotel convert this to Sterling? Am i going to get ripped off by ATM machines and foreign exchange places? I'd really appreciate some advise from people who have been there before or folk who just know a bit about it. Thanks for your help.

  • Actively trying since February 09 but unprotected since August 07-Problem?

My husband and I have regularly BD unprotected since August 2007, at that time we were avoiding what i though were my fetile days. In January/February this year we decided to start trying for a baby and have BD around and on my projected fertile days every months since. That's 8 months of actively trying and another 18 months of unprotected BD. Do you think there is something wrong?

I don't think my husband would be overly keen about talking to the doctor about this.

  • UK pregnancy tests? Too soon? Drinking if PG?

    Three questions I know, sorry!

Do you know which is the most sensitive pregnancy test available in UK supermarkets? I'm only 9 dpo but I want to test because i'm going out tomorrow night with a bunch of friends and if I don't drink it will raise suspicion, I don't really want anyone to know that we're ttc but if i'm definately pg then there's no way i'd drink.

Are even these sensitive pregnancy not sensitive enough to give me an accurate answer at this stage?

how dangerous would it be to drink at this stage if I was pregnant, but the test couldn't pick it up yet?

Sorry for all the questions, i'm sure you can all see why I need to ask.

  • What are my chances of being PG?

I swore I wouldn't ask but dying to know your opinion, I know I can't tell for sure until pregnancy test but i'm too early for that yet so just want your opinion in the mean time.

First day of last AF 4th august

    BD on 16th, 19th, 20th, 23rd August

feeling very tired, tenders & slightly swollen BB, peeing too much

    I'm 25, usually 30 days between AF

    What are the chances?

Please don;t tell me to wait to test, cos I know what you say is not gospel just want your opinion.
