Can these puppies get parvo if given a vaccine?
I have 5 week old Siberian Husky puppies. The mother is my foster dog that I took out of a shelter one week before she delivered her puppies. She has now contracted Parvo. Is it too late to vaccinate the puppies? Since she started showing symptoms she was isolated and the puppies are completely weaned at this point. The mother is having a very severe reaction and having accidents in the house which means increased risk of me transferring it to the puppies with my clothing.
Can I get them vaccinated to try and get ahead of the virus or if they have possibly contracted it already will this just lead to worse symptoms? Waiting for a vet to call me back on this question (busy day for them) so I thought maybe I could get some answers here.
6 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhy do men mumble I love you the first time? (adults only)?
Ok last night this guy I have been seeing pretty exclusively for a while (no sex though) was over watching a movie and randomly mumbled "I love you." Or at least I think that's what he said. But he said so quietly and into my shoulder that I wasn't sure... Leaving me clueless how to respond. What if he said something else. We have only been dating for about a month and haven't discussed any sort of committment so it really made me wonder what he said. In the end I didn't respond in anyway. This isn't the first time a guy has whispered I love you the first time... So why? I know if I am the first one to make a move, I like to make eye contact first and be clear about it.

3 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoMother dog keeps taking puppies out of her nest?
I am fostering a Siberian Husky that had puppies 9 days ago. I got the mother 1 week before she had the puppies and have no prior experience with puppies. The mother dog has recently started moving one or two puppies (different ones) out of the large kennel she had them in. Every time she puts them back after a few minutes. Is there a reason she is doing this at all? Is she trying to get rid of a puppy (too much to handle?)
She has 6 puppies, and generally it hasn't been the runt she keeps taking out (the first time it was the largest healthiest pup.) Yesterday she went to the vet because she wasn't acting normal and the vet believes she has a uteran infection that they are using antibiotics to keep in check until the pups are older and then she will be spayed. If this behavior is something to be concerned about please give me your ideas.
14 AnswersDogs1 decade agohow do I make my face look younger?
I am 23 years old and I my face looks more like I am 28. I work outside all the time and I think sun damage has aged my skin. I am trying to be more careful, but I was wondering what options there are out there to lessen the look of the sun damage. By sun damage I mean that my face has very faint freckles everywhere that makes my skin tone look very uneven and I am already gettin crows feet around my eyes and lines at the corners of my mouth. My skin just always looks dry and the skin tone is uneven. Any tips?
3 AnswersOther - Skin & Body1 decade agoWhy has my dog gone from very beta and passive to an aggressor that starts fights?
I have two 1.5 year old male siberian huskies. I am the one that typically cares for both of them (walks, food, brushing, cleaning, play, obedience, discipline) but I was out of town for 2 months and my livein boyfriend cared for them while I was gone. Since I have returned, they have had several fights (only one resulting in blood) and sometimes multiple fights a day. My slightly younger dog has been the one instigating the fights, though there has been provacation such as mounting by the other dog, but in the past this dog would always deter and never cause a fight. What has suddenly changed his behavior from very passive to very aggressive? I recently brought a new foster home(1 year old male siberian) and they are constantly fighting, which has never happened before. All of the dogs are neutered. I don't know if my absence has caused some problems or if my dog has just suddenly grown up. I need to curb this dominence over other dogs especially this new foster before I get hurt in their spats or they do.
5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHow do I get a dog rescued from an abusive home to walk through doors?
I am a foster home for a Husky rescue group and I have begun fostering a young (1 year old maybe) male husky that was rescued from a small enclosed trailer that had 25 other dogs in it. All these dogs were loose in the trailer but never let out. Food was just tossed into the piles of feces. He was never really exposed to people and is very nervous around them but is beginning to come up and ask for pets. I have had him for 2 weeks now, and I am still having issues bringing him inside because he is afraid to walk through the door. I think he is scared it will close and he will be trapped in another small space. Even leaving it open for 2 hours at a time, he just stands in front of the doorway and barks. I have tried treats slowly leading up to the door and placing his food bowl in front of it every time I feed him, but short of leashing him and dragging him in (which I don't want to do because it seems traumatizing) I can't get him in and he doesn't like being alone so he barks all night long.
Any suggestions??
