  • How to permanently quit marijuana?

I feel like I have to smoke but when I do smoke I often smoke alone, this makes me self concious and lonely and I get depressed. Also my dealer texts me everyday and offers special deals and stuff, so when I try to quit smoking I can only hold out a few days before I crave weed and go buy some. How do I quit for good? Weed is adding nothing productive to my life, and I'm able to quit for a week or 2 at most when I really try, but I can never seem to just quit permanently.

  • Anyone explain this girl?

So this girl Ive been into and talked with a lot in the past texts me drunk one night and spills out her feelings for me, saying how shes really into me and misses me, and I just brighten her days and all that. I tell her how pretty she is and ask her to hang out the weekend, which she agrees to. When I finally ask her on the weekend though she says she cant... this has happened once or twice before too. I don't get it, she says she's into me, but always flakes when I ask her to hang with me.What should I do at this point?

  • I've been so lonely for a long time?

I feel like I've been alone for so long. I can't relate to my parents no matter how hard I try. My brother had moved away and grown distant. I have a few friends, but no close friends that I regularly connect with. I really need a girlfriend but I'm so inexperienced with girls and escalating relationships. I'm sick of being this way all the time, can someone help?

  • Doesn't getting high suck after a while? Why not just drink?

I used to smoke weed on an everyday basis. I don't know why. All a "weed high" is, is just sitting around lethargically, feeling retarded and unmotivated to do anything. When you drink it makes you feel stupid somewhat but at least it doesn't take away your motivation and you can go talk to girls, dance, carry conversations, play drinking games etc. Idk I feel like it is time to give up weed. I liked it at first but it just sucks now, and taking tolerance breaks doesn't help, because if I quit for a month and smoke again I still feel like it is a shitty pointless high. Oh and by the way I was smoking good weed(sticky, no seeds, lime green or purple), so it wasn't the weed's quality that was a problem.

  • Why do people say weed isn't addictive?

Weed is addictive. To me it was even more addictive than hard drugs. I have tried cigarettes, xanax, vicodin, codeine, morphine and alcohol which a lot of people consider very addictive. I never got addicted and haven't used these drugs for weeks or months. However weed got me addicted fast. I started off doing it occasionally. Then it moved to daily, then I smoked 2-3 times a day.

A lot of people troll about the internet telling people weed isn't addictive, to try to justify their own habit. My advice to a prospective marijuana smoker is to not buy into their trolling. Marijuana is addictive. Period. It won't get everyone addicted, but the fact that it has addictive properties is indisputable. I find it hard to sleep if I don't smoke before bed. I also don't even enjoy weed as it is expensive and lowers my motivation. However I have tried many times to quit and have been unsuccessful. Many people have had similar experiences. I'm not saying that some people can't moderate their usage, but marijuana is addictive. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

  • How do you quit smoking weed?

Does anybody have a any useful tips to help quit smoking marijuana? I've been smoking this stuff since I was 15. I am now almost 18. It started out as a weekly thing then moved to once a day and than moved to 2-3 times a day. I've probably spent at least $2,000-$3,000 on it since I started. Weed has a few positive benefits but it also has negative aspects which outweigh any positives(especially if I smoke on a daily basis). It keeps me from being clear headed and productive.

I really want to quit so any helpful tips that would help make the process of quitting would be easier.

I just feel like quitting is the right thing and will allow me to be more motivated and productive. However I have promised myself I was quitting before only to find myself buying another bag 3-4 days later. I want someone to give me some tips encouragement to help me quit long term. Maybe if you were a stoner and have successfully quit tell me how you were able to.

  • Smoked my 1st cigarette today? What's the big deal?

Now today I smoked my 1st cigarette. I did get some mild cravings for another one a couple hours later, but I definitely will not smoke another one. With that being said- Why do people smoke cigarettes?

Like, I understand that they are addictive, but for something to be addictive typically it has to be at least somewhat pleasurable. For instance I've smoked pot hundreds of times before and I find the relaxation and sense of time distortion and creativity very pleasurable, which is why I continue smoking pot. However when I smoked the cigarette I noticed a very brief, slight head change, but nothing pleasurable that would make me want to smoke again. I guess my question to smokers is- Aside from all the negatives of smoking, what do you find to be pleasurable about smoking? And I want responses from smokers mostly, not lectures on how cigarettes are bad for you(I already know they are bad).

  • Do you smoke weed? Here is a good way to get it legal...?

I know so many people that smoke weed a lot, yet very few of them actually write to their elected representatives to get it legal. The reason politicians scarcely back legalization is because they are scared it will cause them to lose the next election. If you smoke weed or if you don't smoke but would like to see sensible drug policy write a letter to your representatives. Their are over 10 million weed smokers in the U.S and many people who don't smoke but support legalization. If you are one of these people CONTACT YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS! They will listen if 10 million+ people are writing to them

  • Hasn't it been established by now that their is little harm to using marijuana?

Pharmaceuticals are often studied for a year or so before being approved, and often lead to overdoses, health problems etc. Marijuana has been used 1000s of years with 0 recorded overdoses yet the drug prohibition warriors act like it is some mysterious substance that needs to be studied more before legalization. The government claims it is harmful despite the many thousand year old historical track record of marijuana being a safe substance. Yet the Government has no problem approving pharmaceuticals that have only been researched for a couple years, without the adequate time to establish the harm.

Lately whenever I type anything into search engine and click on one of the results, it just redirects to some advertising page. I'm really tired of it. • Should I quit the sport I'm good at?

I'm a really excellent swimmer but I do not get along with some of my team mates because they are big douche bags. Even though I'm good at swimming they all kind of take the fun out of it for me. I am in high school. Should I quit and do something I would enjoy more than being on a team with douchebags? If I quit should I convince the team mates I do like to quit with me or should I quit alone? Or should I stay with it to use my talents/hard work to get better?

  • Will this affect me in any way?

Today I took a shortcut through a cornfield. I was wondering if anything commonly sprayed on corn can damage you when coming into contact with skin. If so than what does it do to your body?
