  • Why has my tinder been searching since yesterday? Please help (5pts)?

I only got tinder yesterday and within an hour it started searching but would never load. I tried everything and then decided to delete the account to create another. The same thing happened again, I created a new account and it's happened again! This doesn't seem to be a normal thing and no one seems to know what to do. I'm on an iPhone 5s

  • Is it okay to talk to yourself ?

I don't mean just saying the odd word under your breath I mean imagining yourself in a certain situation and having a conversation out loud with the people. The people are always people who actually exist in real life but the conversations Arn't based on past conversations I've had with them. I only do this at night or when I'm alone and I've probably done it from the age of 5 or 6, I'm 18 now. I used to have an imaginary friend when I was 4 or 5 and I'd only ever talk to him at night, no one knew that he existed

  • Can someone please explain something about the matching hypothesis?

I was looking in my psychology text book and under the matching hypothesis it says "individuals have to asses their own level of physical attractiveness and then focus their attention upon potential partners of perceived similar physical attractiveness." However, under the physical attractiveness section it says that "people are not always competent in assessing their own level of physical attractiveness." So how do people know if they are on the same level as someone if they judge themselves incorrectly? Surely this means people match with the wrong people?

  • do drunk messages really mean anything?

the first time he messaged me after 8 months, he was drunk. It was him that ended things between us. He then messaged a week later while sober, that was 2 weeks ago and he hasn't messaged since

  • Opinions please?

A few weeks ago the boy I used to be with messaged me drunk for the first time in 8 months, this was a shock because he was the one that ended things. A week later he messaged me again but this time sober saying "how come you weren't at the party last night?xx" we then carried on chatting for an hour or two. He didn't message me for about two weeks after that although had been pretty friendly to me in college. last night I messaged him saying "hey x", I don't know if it was because I didn't message about anything in particular or the fact he was tired because everyone had been at a festival both the 2 days before, but he seemed fairly distant. I feel like it could be in my own head because I built up the idea of messaging him for quite a while. We're both 17

  • Mixed signals?

Do boys mean to send mixed signals or are they just very inconsistent when messaging? If you mean to send mixed signals then what are the reasons?

If someone Who used to really like you messages you after 8 months of not talking to ask why you weren't at a party the night before, is it possible he's started to like you again or just being friendly? (He was sober when he messaged me) we carried on chatting for an hour or two about college ext.

  • Would you reply or not bother?

If you where messaging someone but fell asleep so didn't see their reply, would you text back in the morning? Or not bother as you'd assume the conversation is over? Especially if the message wasn't a question.

If you reply can you possibly give your gender please?

  • Is it possible that he's started to miss me but is too nervous to say? (10pts)?

Me and this boy (both17) where talking for about 7 months and he would always say he really liked me and I would say so too although we never got round to properly getting together. Just before college he said that we should stop talking, that was September. He said that it was because we'd be too busy with college to have proper time for each other (he hasn't got with anyone since which is what I thought his aim was) . In November I told him I still missed him but he didn't feel the same and was really awkward around me in college and just would never acknowledge me, even when I texted him to say happy birthday he was very blunt. Since the end of February he has started paying me attention and will laugh at things I say and appear less uncomfortable around me. Recently I messaged him about something and he was really nice and even started making conversation about other things. I also feel like he sometimes glances at me. I just don't know if this means he misses me, he is a slightly awkward person so he's not one for bold moves plus I don't make it obviouse that I still like him

  • Can someone please explain what 'social ownership' means in a simplified way?

From my understanding, it is that property is owned by all the people who use it? So does that mean there is no bosses or leadership?

  • Do you think this is an inside joke or real?

Me and my group of friends at college have a group chat and you can change the names. One of the boys (who I'll call 'B') was changing everyone's names and changed his friends 'A' to "I lost it to my cousin" a few minuits later another boy who isn't so close to 'A' changed it from cousin to "2nd cousin" however he was with 'B' at the time. When we where all together at break a girl in the group asked 'B' why 'A's name was what it was and he replied "cause he did" then half laughed. I couldn't work out if this was a joke because surely if it was seriouse he wouldn't have wanted his friends to tell everyone unless he doesn't think that having sex with a cousin is weird. Also on his birthday in janurary someone posted on his wall "happy birthday cousin fucker😂💜" and he replied "c**t😂" I'm thinking maybe it's a joke to do with the fact he lives in the country side. The reason I'm so concerned is because I used to have a thing with him
