1 AnswerFacebook1 decade agoIs this racism? world focus In doing a piece on Modern South Africa?
they used their fact that more Whites were in bureaucratic positions than "Blacks" (their word), as evidence of Affirmative Action
During Apartheid 90% of South Africa were Black Africans.
If the above statistic holds, and 55% of Bureaucrats were Black Africans and 45% Whites that means the negative disparity of Black Africans would be 61%/-39%, and the positive disparity for Whites

1 AnswerMedia & Journalism1 decade agoWho feels it’s our responsibility to defend Jindal from attacks when those attacks take the form of racism?
India has one of the oldest and sophisticated cultures, and it demands our respect.
People have the right to align themselves with any legitimate political party, without letting this decision be defined by their race or creed, just as no one has the right to attack them for their race or creed.
Who will agree to oppose such attacks, based upon their race or creed; regardless of regardless of where those attacks come from, or what the target’s of these politics are.
12 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoAre both of these descriptions of the suburbs true, and if so how to they presently interact?
Historians argue the creation of the suburbs was designed to put women working during WWII back in the kitchen; and Moore popularized the perception that suburbs are presently continued, in the U.S., out of racism and xenophobia.
When possible please post sources, especially for their interactions, or debunking one or both, if you learned this through experiences please put down however much details are not personal, in as simplifying them as much as possible, but no more.

1 AnswerPolitics1 decade agoHow does our Heath Ledger feel about the Oscar night?
12 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoPlease logically prove or disprove this economic theory I thought of this morning:?
Assumptions:
#1 that the reasons why both Bush’s and Clinton concealed the true nature of the economy were to instill consumer confidence, in order to help the economy.
#2 That the theory proposed by economists that the fall in the stock market is an adjustment to actual values, and the consumers and common stock buyers now are accurately judging the economy, rather than seeing it as virtually a flawless system.
P.S. please no arguing with the assumptions, unless you then also evaluate the theory with them in place.
Is the relationship between the actions of the above presidents, is similar to the Forestry Service’s practice through most of the same period of putting out small fires, only to this eventually leading to nearly statewide fires*
* not that its relevant to this analogy, but the reason for the large fires is that in nature they are stopped when they reach a recently burnt out area.

3 AnswersEconomics1 decade agoWall Street adjustment and dangers from media question?
Initial quote paraphrased from American NPR
"When people believe the economy is a flawless system, and that everything is going, or at least better than it actually is (as both Bush's, Clinton, and Regan lead the American populace to believe) well we don't award stock prices to companies for what they're worth, but for what we think they're worth"
Obama's being truthful about the economy, and the Stock market is adjusting to the actual worth of the companies (similar to when the internet bubble burst);
Unfortunately the press is spinning the above in a way that might cause an actual stock crash, as we might stop viewing the market as it actually is and start viewing it as we think it is, this time viewing the values of companies as less than they actually are, thus causing the stock prices to reflect this belief.
Who agrees, disagrees, please try to logically support your arguments, and if possible use links to support these arguments.
