I sell fitness equipment for a large retail chain. The boss has recently decided that all salespersons will have to become certified personal trainers to improve our sales ability. He intends for us to pay for the training and do it on our own time. If we pass the course and receive our cert., then he says we will be reimbursed for the cost of the course. Is this legal? What recourse do I have if I don't wish to become a personal trainer? Can he force me to do it on my own time?

about a week ago, I woke in the morning to horribly swollen feet. They were really big and they were very tender. I spent the day with my feet elevated and the pains went away, but my feet seem to still be larger than normal and the skin is peeling from the bottoms of them. I plan to see my doctor next week and do a blood workup. Anyone have an idea of what may be causing this?
