  • Need help with checked luggage please?

The limit is 62 inches and my suitcase measures up to 63. Has anyone had a similar experience where the airline staff said it was ok or should i expect them to charge me or refuse mu luggage? I'm keeping it under 50lbs so that won't be a problem...flying on jet blue in 2 days. I'm not sure if it's a big deal and don't feel like buying a new suitcase. I called the airline the lady said it's at the discretion of the security officer, so i won't know til get there....I'd really appreciate all input. Thanks

  • I need help with dog that eats poop?

I have a one year old shih tzu who likes to eat her own poop. She s healthy and i feed her wellness, the vet doesn t think it s a health or nutrition issue, just a habbit. So, they told me to try a seasoning on her food which would make her poo taste bad, but i forgot what it was, maybe pepper flakes, something like that....if anyone knows please share with me, I d appreciate it. Also if there s a product that really works that i can buy at a pet store please let me know. Thanks

  • Which large dog do you suggest?

Hi, I m thinking about getting a bigger dog that would be a good family dog. Right now i have a chihuahua and a shih tzu, i love them to death, but I d like to have a bigger dog too. It would have to be a dog that is friendly with children and my little dogs, not overly territorial, not a big barker or howler, but protective if there is let s say a break in in the middle of the night...a devoted, friendly and relaxed dog that i can handle. I like gsd but I m afraid he would be too smart for me to handle, because I ve never had a big dog before. I understand any dog will need proper socialization and training, so if you can suggest a breed or mix that is easy to handle for a person like me please feel free to give any input, I d really appreciate it

  • how much to fix a patio?

We're looking at a house that has patio stones in the back, different colors, odd shapes, most of the stones are loose. How would fixing this look like? Pour concrete over them? Rip them up and pour concrete and glue them back? Any ideas? I don't care what it would look like, stones or no stones i just want it to be stable. How much would it cost to get it to be safe? The area is about 6x4 feet.

Also, how much does a standard bathroom remodel cost? Two small, standard size baths, in usable condition just everything is pink, tiles, toilet, sink and tub. To replace all that, how much would it cost? The house is great otherwise, big and move in ready, i can't decide if that's too much work/money or easy fix. Any input is appreciated

  • cosmetology school lost my papers?

I have a license from new york state, then completed and extra 200 hours in new jersey, paid for everything in full, graduated and went home. Waited and waited to receive an appointment for my exam, after waiting a long time i called the state board and they told me they don't have me registered. I called the school they said they don't have any record of me ever going to that school. Very odd, because i have all the papers they gave me, even the graduation certificate. Unfortunately i don't have all the receipts of everything i paid. Life kinda got in the way and i put it on the back burner, wasn't planning to go back to work, but wanted to have my license just in case. It's been 4 years, what can i do now?

  • neighbor calls the police for no reason, what should i do?

I have dogs who like all other dogs bark sometimes, but the problem is today an officer showed up at my door and said that he had a complaint about barking. The thing is, my dogs didn't bark! I think i know who called, but I'm not sure. Both of my dogs were sleeping at the time the officer said they received the complaint. What should i do? I'm sick and tired of this guy who i think called, he's constantly bugging every dog owner in the building, a total scrooge

  • what happens if i have dogs at a no pets allowed building?

I have 2 small dogs, the super has a dog, the super before him had a dog for 15 years, several other families have dogs and cats...the landlord must know this, I'm sure he has seen people walking their dogs outside, or heard them barking inside when he comes once a month to collect the laundry coins. He knows the super has a dog....my lease says no pets allowed, but the landlord just never cared because nobody ever complained. Now, someone moved in with vicious, aggressive dogs. If i complain to the landlord, do i risk being evicted because i have dogs? What are my options here? I don't think he can evict 10+ families at once because we have pets. I don't wanna move or get rid of my dogs, i just want the guy with 3 aggresive pitbulls to move. What can i do?

  • my neighbor has 2 aggressive pitbulls what should i do?

I live in an apartment building where it's unclear whether dogs are allowed or not. My lease says not, but a neighbor had her lease changed to allow her to have 2 yorkies. Many people have had dogs, small breeds, we never had a problem with any of them, until last month when a family moved in with 3 pitbulls, one of them still a puppy. The other day i was going to get my mail and the woman walked out of her apartment with one of the pitbulls. I asked her if he was friendly she said yes he's very sweet so i said ok and continued walking until the dog got closer and started pulling the leash toward me, the woman couldn't hold it back, the dog really scared me so i went back inside. Nothing happened, until 2 days later when i was by my window and saw their other pit bull, a female attack another neighbor for no reason! The lady just walked out of the building going somewhere minding her own business and the dog yanked the leash out of the owners hand, ran to the lady barking viciously and growling, pinned her against the building, poor lady was screaming in terror, the guy came and got the dog, he kept saying "it's ok it's ok nothing happened you're fine" to the lady. I don't think she was bit because police or ambulance never came, they all went inside. Later that night my husband walked by their door and he said the dogs were barking at him out of control. So what should i do? Im afraid to go out, can i call someone? I have 2 kids and 2 small dogs, im afraid to run into them

  • should i go to court for my ticket?

I got a ticket for parking under a bridge, although only about 4 or 5 inches of my car was under the bridge. Other cars were parked completely under, so there's a huge difference. I don't think my car should've been ticketed so if i go to court to plead not guilty are there any extra charges i should expect? Let's say the judge still wants me to pay the ticket will i be paying just the cost of the ticket ($54) or there are things such as court fees etc? I don't wanna pay more than 54, i don't wanna regret going, so how does that work? Thanks btw this will take place in Elizabeth, New Jersey

  • how long to grow out shih tzus hair?

I have a puppy who is a little less then 3 months old, she hasn't had all her shots yet so I couldn't take her to a groomer but she was getting matted on her belly and around her private parts so I decided to trim her hair myself. The main reason I did it is because she was constantly getting poo stuck in her hair, I trimmed the back area with scissors first, but then she would get it stuck on her legs....well long story short I buzzed her entire body except ears and tail. She looks so different that I'm not happy about what I've done, my daughter is so disappointed, while my son likes her better now because she doesn't have all the hair and hair clips anymore lol....how long will it take her hair to grow at least an inch? I've read some posts say 3 weeks and some say 3 months, which is it? Thatnk if you have an answer for me and sorry for the long story

  • is this normal between dogs?

I have a chihuahua, year and a half old, 2 days ago we brought home a 10 week old shih tzu, she's very calm, the chihuahua is very lively...fisrt night chihuahua was barking and growling, so we kept them apart, the next day they were on the same couch together with me in the middle, no reaction from the chihuahua. Now he walks up to her, sniffs her, no growling, nothing, but if she turns to look at him he gets startled and jumps. If she makes any sudden movement or walks up to him he seems very nervous and growls. Is he afraid of her? He's made tremendous progress in just 2 days, so I'm hoping this is all normal. Any imput from your own experience is well appreciated guys

  • how do I teach my dog be friendly with other dogs?

I have a chihuahua, he's a year and a half, I got him as a baby and he's always been unfriendly with other dogs. If another dog comes near he hides behind me, pulls on the leash to go back home, and if the other dog won't stop then he just shows his teeth which causes the other dog to get angry and go after him. I don't know if I should take him to the dog park and make him get used to it little by little, but I'm not sure about that because if he gets scared as soon as we get there and provokes other dogs to come after us, that won't be pretty. How do I train him? Is this just his personality that will never change or what? Any help is appreciated!

I'm trying to lose weight, so far I've lost 14lbs just by going to the gym alone, but I need to diet to lose a little faster, and dieting is harder then exercising. So if anyone has a normal diet plan, like with normal ingredients, would you please share. I've tried looking online but everything includes foods that I've never even heard of, like cooked bulgur for lunch, what in the world is that?? Thanks guys!

  • my toddler can't say words with F?

He's 3 and a half, will start preschool in September and he cannot say any words that start with or contain the letter F. Fish is tish, far is tar, coffee is cottee and so on. His pronunciation of other words is pretty clear, not a 100 % but pretty normal for a 3 yr old. I practice with him all the time, he can perfectly make the ffffff sound with his lips, but when I ask him to put it in a word he says t again. Is this normal? I'm not sure if thos is something I have to take care of before preschool...any advice is appreciated!
