What's the French translation of this?
I'm trying to find out how to say "the winged" (winged meaning anything that has wings) and "the fallen" (fallen meaning like an evil creature) in French. An online translator told me "l'ailé" and "la tombé," but another translator gave me "á ailes" and "tombé", so now I'm not really sure at all.
And also, how would I pronounce whatever the answer is?
8 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoHow do you pronounce these French words?
How would I pronounce "l'airé" and "la tombé"? (To be honest, I'm not even sure if I've got those spelled right, since it's from memory off of an online translator. So just in case, it's supposed to be the French translation of "the winged" and "the fallen.")

I'm having trouble finding it out, so could someone help me? Just a list of the states would be perfect. :)
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy is Forumotion not working for me?
I have two Macs (a Tiger and a Leopard), and I cannot access any Forumotion sites except for the home page of the main website on either of them. I've tried switching my browser from Safari to Internet Explorer or Firefox, I've cleared the cache and history, and I've tried both of the domains (the purchased and the default) for my own site, but it always tells me that the browser cannot find the site.
I spoke with some of my friends, and most of them are able to get on with no problems, but there are others who can't access it, like me. Does anyone know why this is happening or when this will be fixed? I'm starting to suspect the problem is only for Macs, but I'm not sure. I can't ask the Forumotion people either because I can't access the message boards.
Please help!
1 AnswerOther - Internet1 decade agoHow do you recommend choosing last names for characters?
When writing, it's easy enough for me to come up with first names, but I always get stuck on the last names. What do you recommend for choosing them? What do *you* do, usually?
6 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoHow can I make my own font?
Does anyone know a way that I can make my own font for free? I am very interested in being able to take my own handwriting, and turn it into a font. Could someone please give me a way to do this for free?
Thanks so much!
Other - Visual Arts1 decade agoCan anyone identify this bug for me?
My dad was out in our rose garden this morning, and he found several insects out there — exclusively on the roses. We need help in figuring out anything we can about this insect, but even just the name would be a big help.
It looks to be a beetle, and about one and a half centimeters in length. It's a shiny green color, except for two white dots down at the end of its abdomen, and 5 similar dot pairings going symmetrically up the back half of its side. Its wingplates and the top of the thorax are a brownish coolor, and its legs are black.
Please help me to identify this, and let me know if you have any other question about its appearance that will help to figure this out.
2 AnswersZoology1 decade agoHelp, why am I getting this error?
Well, my friend is going on vacation for a while, so I'm letting her borrow my 512 MB HP iPod Shuffle during this time. Her sister was borrowing the same kind of iPod from her friend.
Her sister got it onto their computer, and got all the songs put on and such. My friend tried the exact same thing, but it gave her an error message and said that she should restore the iPod settings. So she hit restore, and as it finished, it gives her a message that said "Unable to restore" as the iPod is "corrupt", and something about error 1443. She unplugged it from the computer and tried to play it, but it just flashed orange and green when she did. She keeps trying to plug it in and get her songs on, but the same thing happens every time.
Does anyone know
1. Why this is happening
2. A way to fix this
3. if this will affect the iPod if I try to use it on my own computer?
The friend that her sister is borrowing her iPod from says that this happened to her iPod once, but she just went and got it replaced.
Any help is highly appreciated!
1 AnswerMusic & Music Players1 decade agoAre there really such things as "busters?"?
My friend told me once that if you download music from a free source, people called busters will bust your computer because if you download it free, the artists can't make any money. She said that they would just basically somehow get something into your computer that would keep it from working. It sounds very silly to me, but I was wondering whether this was really the truth? Also, if not true, what *could* happen if you download music from free sources?
