  • Who can help with a Algebra Project! PLEASE!!?

Please help this is a project that i really need help on please help w/ the following:

Imagine a linear system; that is, two situations that are related and interact with each other through their variables.

    * Describe the problem situation and define the variables.

    * Write the equations that model the situation(s)

    * Graph the equations of your models

    * Identify the coordinates of the intersection point of your graphs.

    * Write a statement describing what this intersection point means in light of the problem situation.

    * Test your point of intersection by substituting into the original equations.

    * Sum up what you found by testing your point.

    * The project should be neatly presented on poster paper or using computer software.

  • Problems with solving Algebra equations?

Could you please help me with this Scenario

The outdoor club at school is going on a hiking trip and is making trail mix as part of the food that they will take. The trail mix will be made up of nuts &dried fruits, such as raisins, dried cherries, and banana chips. The nuts cost $4.50 per pound And the dried fruits cost $3.25per pound. The groups can spend $15 on the trail mix.

    A. write an equation in standard form that relates the #'s of pounds of nuts & dried fruits that can be bought of $15. Use x to represent the #of pounds of nuts & y to represent the #'s of pounds of dried fruits that can bought.

    Answer: y=4.50x+3.25

    B. The group agreed to have one and half times as much dried fruit as nuts in the mix. Write an equation in x and y a defined in part (A) that represents this situation.

    Answer: y=1.5x

    C. will 2 pounds of nuts and 3 pounds of dried fruits satisfy both of your equations?

    Answer: y+4.50*2+3.25=y=12.25

    y=1.5*2=y=3

D.will two and one quarter of pounds of nuts and one and a half pounds of dried fruits satisfy both of your equations?

  • Could someone help me with a problem situation on Algebra PLEASE!?

What would be a good problem situation that I could answer all the following questions:

Imagine a situation in which you are conducting an experiment and collecting data from the experiment.

    * The data you collect has a trend but is not perfectly linear when plotted.

    1. Describe the problem situation

    2. Make a table of your data

    3. Plot your data on a coordinate grid.

    4. Draw a Trend Line for your data.

    5. Write an equation for the trend line.

    6. Use your equation to make a couple of relevant predictions.

    7. The project should be neatly presented on poster paper or using computer software.
