Sony Vegas HDV 24p capture problem?
After playing around with Vegas Pro 9.0 for a while, I wanted to see how it well it worked with capturing. So I got my Canon HV40 and did some test shots in 24p. I hooked it up, opened Vegas, set the project to 1440x1080, 24p. I went into the HDV capture, and executed the capture of the tape. When it finished, I checked the properties of the clip, and it said that the video was in 30i. Although when i put it in the timeline, it looks fine. Is there a way to fix this, or is it not a problem?
1 AnswerCamcorders1 decade agoRode VideoMic or Canon DM50 for the HV40?
I'm purchasing a Canon HV40 soon. I'm looking into shotgun mics, and I've done research into the features, etc. I guess I'm looking for a bottom line "which is better" from personal experience. Or why you didn't like either, if that's the case. Any input is appreciated!
2 AnswersCamcorders1 decade agoWould it help to have your Pilot's Licesne when going to somewhere like Embry Riddle?
I know it is not required, but would it help to have your Pilot's License when going to a school such as or similar to Embry Riddle? Would it save money/time? I want to fly commercial, so I would need a Multi-Engine license, but would locally getting a Single-Engine help?
3 AnswersAircraft1 decade agoWhat video camera is right for me?
I do a lot of YouTube-type things, school projects, etc, and I'm tired of working with my JVC Everio. I need something with better video/audio quality for under $1,000, preferably around $500. I was thinking Mini DV. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerCamcorders1 decade agoWhat are the pros/cons of using sand in a freshwater aquarium?
I want to switch from small stones to sand at the bottom of my tank. I have a variety of tropical freshwater fish. What would be the pros/cons to this, in the way of cleaning, the general health of the fish, etc. Thanks in advance!

I have no clue where to start...any help is appreciated.
How many kilojoules of energy would be needed to heat a swimming pool with dimensions 12ft x 3ft x 8ft if you want the temperature to increase from 26°C to 30°C. Show all conversions, work and units.
You don't have to do the work, but if you could at least walk me though it, that would be great. Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerChemistry1 decade agoIs there a way to do a live green screen?
Im doing a project for something and I need to show the green screen overlay while it's recording...like they do for the weather etc. I know how to put it on after its recorded but is there any way or progam that will show what I want on the green screen while the video is being recorded?

1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoBrown algae in aquarium?
I cleaned my 55 gal freshwater tank about a month or so ago. Ever since then it's been growing some green algae, which is normal, but lately there is a lot of brown/orangeish growing on the walls/fake plants/castles. In some places it's spotted too. Should I be concerned? The tanks about a year old and has been cleaned before but I've never seen this. Thanks in advance.
