  • 2005 Toyota Tacoma w/ factory installed 7-way tow assembly?

I recently bought a 2005 Toyota Tacoma from the dealer only to find out that the factory installed 7-way trailer light socket was damaged beyond use. I asked about getting it fixed, but the dealer refuses, so I'm attempting the fix myself. So, my question is, does anyone know what each of the colored wires goes to (i.e. - brown wire is for trailer lights, etc.). I've searched a bunch of places for the actual wiring diagram, but no such luck and the dealership refuses to tell me ( they say it's a trade secret for their technicians only).

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

  • Automatic starter acting weird?

I have an after market viper system in my car. The other night, the car started all by itself(I never touched the button). When I pressed the button on the fob to turn the car off, it didn't respond and neither did the lock/unlock buttons. I was able to shut it off by stepping on the brake, but it did this two more times that night. Also, every once in a while, when I try to use the auto start, the car will attempt to crank over but won't actually start. Any ideas?

  • Rebuilding a 1974 Jeep CJ-5 304 V8?

Taking my time with it because I don't have a lot of money to dump into it all at once. What is the best way to clean, and keep rust free, all of the engine parts that I'm dismantling
