I have lost 8 pounds in 4 days without changing anything about the way I eat and with no exercise. I was just wondering what could cause that rapid of weight loss? I posted a question asking if it could be overactive thyroid but it posted it under diet and exercise...so I just posted a new question. Anyway if anyone has lost this much weight this quickly or knows someone who has, I would love some feedback. Oh and I am overweight as it is, so this is a little under 4% of my body weight in 4 days...

My husband came home from work today and said it was releases at formation that a policy just came into effect today that would make any soldier who has ever received an article 15 or failed a school ineligable to reenlist. Has anyone heard of this or know where I can find out more information about it. For instance how long it will last and if there are any waivers or anything. My husband has been in for 12 years - will this also keep him from being able to receive any retirement benefits. It feels like the last 12 years have been a complete waste!!!!

I bought pillsbury break and bake chocolate chip cookies and I broke it into two batches. The first batch came out burned on the bottom and really flat. I took them out while they were still really soft, but the second batch I took out even earlier. They were browned on the bottom and really doughy on top and really undercooked because they never really got solid. They were really flat too. The only part sticking up on the cookies were the chocolate chips. lol What could be the problem?

I have a 97 GMC Suburban. I just had the engine rebuilt into a 383. Today I noticed that when I take off quickly it sounds like the tires are spinning but they are not. The sound seems to be coming from the front of the truck. What would cause that?

We are having the engine rebuilt on our 97 gmc suburban. well actually we are having it turned into a 383. The mechanic said there was a small crack in the head but because of where the crack was we need to replace the head instead of repairing it. when we looked it up online it said that sometimes the engine overheating can cause the head to crack, so we should replace the air intake manifold. we are also having headers put on it. any advice on if the air intake manifold is necessary?

My doctor said they can go in and burn off the cysts on my ovaries since i have pcos and it will increase my chances of ovulated;therefore, it will increase my chances of getting pregnant. has anyone had this procedure done or know of anyone who has had it done? if so did it work? also since it is supposed to work better on younger women with healthy body mass index - i would appreciate it if you would share the age, height and weight. thanks.

I was told that since we live in the desert we can get our car painted once every 2 years with our comprehensive insurance because of sand storm damages. has anyone ever done this before? how does it work? and can i get the car painted a different color?

My husband was medivac'd from iraq after an IED explosion. he is now in a wtu at a post that is not where we are stationed, so we had to get all the documentation and submit his purple heart packet through the S1 office ourselves. We were told today that it made it to "western region" (notsure what that is) and that it was sitting there waiting on us to submit another witness statement because it requires two. On the purple heart checklist we were given it said witness statements and then it said a min of 2 for CAB applicants but it didn't say a min of 2 for purple heart applicants. We are having a really hard time getting another witness statement. I was just wondering if this is in fact a requirement and if not if there is another way to submit it to get around having two.

my husband was medically evacuated from iraq in june. he qualifies for a purple heart but his chain of command he was deployed with refuses to submit his packet. he is in the wtu now and they are refusing to submit the packet because they say they do not know what happened other than by heresay. he has a casualty report, his medical records, a sworn statement, etc. is there any way he can just submit the packet to the approving authority on his own. what should we do? it is crazy that this award is one that you "qualify" for and do not have to be recommended but everyone in the chain of command refuses to "put him in for it" which in my mind means they don't want to recommend him for it...

My husband and I already have two vehicles, but he has a gmc suburban which guzzles gas and i still owe 3 years on my car and it has 70,000 miles on it. My car is a kia optima and I would like to keep the miles down on it so that I am not paying for repairs while still making a car payment. My husband suggested we buy a honda for about $500 - $800 to keep the miles off my car and save gas money from his. Liability insurance would only be about $20 a month. I have a lot of credit card debt though so I am wondering if I should pay the money on credit cards or buy the car?

My nephew passed away when my great niece was around 3 years old. My sister fought for custody and was granted the father's visitation rights. The judge told her when she got older she could decide to go live with her grandmother. Now she is 15 and she actually wants to come live with my husband and me. Can she legally do this without her mother's consent? She also gets a check from the military because her father died while in the navy. Is there anyway, she could get the check? It is her check not her mother's. Her mother gets one of her own.

I already posted this question, but I am mainly wondering how much the things cost that it could be. Like if it is the condensor how much is that and if it is the compressor how much would that be? mainly wondering how much they will charge at the shop because i don't know how much my husband knows about it. What is the most expensive thing that could be wrong? He said it is clicking when you turn it on if that helps the diagnostic any. lol
