  • Unilateral prenup.?

Is it possible for someone to protect their assets without a prenup?

Like, if I owned a business before marriage, and I wanted to make sure the growth of my business stayed mine after marriage, could I transfer the business into an irrevocable living trust, put myself as the trustee and the beneficiary, so that my wife couldn't get it if we divorce? I live in California, and the business is an LLC. Would the trust be my property in the divorce since I'm the beneficiary?

If not, is there a way to have a unilateral prenup? My fiance doesn't want to sign one, but I think it might be a good idea.

  • Exotic car track day with friends?

I'm looking for a place on the west coast of the USA where I can race exotic cars with friends. I would prefer if we could all be on the track at the same time. I have seen a few places where you go one at a time. I would imagine insurance doesn't let them race each other together, but is there a place anyone knows of where you can? Thanks.

  • Do I need to be a lawyer to help someone fill out legal forms?

I have a license to give investment advice. But many of my clients also want regular estate planning help. For example, someone might want a will, or an advance health care directive. There are fill in the blank forms available, online, and I know that I can use them for myself, but do I need to be a practicing attorney in order to help someone else fill in the blanks?

    Here's the health care form:

If you could cite where you get your info from that would be great. I'm not interested in what you think the answer is. I want the actual law.
