Hi my son will be 5 months tomorrow his birth weight was 7pounds 12ounces 20 1/2 inches long...he at his last appoint which was when he hit 4months he was 23pounds 27 1/2inches long...the doctor told me babies are not suppose to triple there weight until age one..and my son did it in 4months..now that hes 5months he even heavier and looks heavier..at the appointment she told me if hes does not slow down his feeding he will be obese by the time he is 6 or 9months...! she's telling my to slow down his feeding...BUT HE IS ALWAYS HUNGRY...he eats 6ounces every 2 1/2 hours or so..i try to give him 4ounces and hes still crying hes hungry..i would feel bad to starve him...i tried spooning him a little cereal to hold him over for longer hours but it does not change anything...ANY ADVICE?..I DONT WANT MY SON TO BE OBESE OR UNHEALTHY!

My baby will be 5months old in a few days...sometimes he screams for hours and me and my husband do not know what to do. My husband and I have talked to doctors and he is not sick and there is nothing wrong with him..sometimes i to let him cry for a little while in order for him to go to sleep...could he die from crying to long and STRESSING out? ..I'm worried...he is my first son and it worries me when hes cries so much even after feeding him and rocking him and everything i can possibly do.

Hi i had a son almost 5months ago..breastfed for like 4weeks and stopped THE MILK WENT AWAY FOR SURE. Then i wake up this morning and they seemed very full and went to look and milk was coming out im in shock...did my milk come back out of nowhere...IM NOT PREGNANT...my last period was extremely late but it still came...is it possible the milk just came back?

im not sure exactly what day my period is suppose to land on..last month i tracked that it came august 5th..it usually last about 5 days maybe 6..i have a 28day cycle..should i give it a few more day?..with my son after two days late i had got a positive?...i have been having discharge for the last week and a half but it was light brown and sometimes clear and barley anything at all..but still no period has started. My period have always been consistent and very obvious..any advice.

Hi just yesterday out of nowhere i noticed smaill tiny bumps on both breast on the areola part (i think thats what its called..and little white stuff in it very visible..could this be pregnancy or some kind of possible problem going on?

i have a 3month old son..when i was pregnant with him i found out from a missed period because other then that i had no other signs, me and my husband have been using the pull out method so the chances are not high but we really don't mind if we have another baby either way. So i just wanted to know if these where EARLY possible signs of pregnancy, brown spotting kind of a little brown discharge the last 3days and a little clear discharge a day or twp before that. I'M NOT OVULATING i ovulated almost 2 weeks ago, i had a light period early in the start of the month?..I'm just really confused if these are possible signs, I have ALSO been having mild cramping every now and then on the right side of my abdomen..what do you ladies think? -itook a test two weeks ago because i was throwing up real bad and it was negative so i took it as a negative, but the last few days these other symptoms have happened..

-also this may sound strange but my sex drive has been good since i had my son, then all the sudden a few days ago my husband wanted sex and i was so turned off, that has not happened since the last time i was pregnant..

-im going to the doctor tomorrow, just wanted you opinions.

Hi i just had a baby he is 3months old.

My question is, lately i have been having discharge...a few days ago it was clear and watery sort of, and the last two day its been brown..not a lot just a little here and there..i ovulated a week and a half ago or so..so i know im not ovulating..my husband has been using the pull out method..im no idiot so i know i can still get pregnant..my last pregnancy i had no early signs of pregnancy not even discharge..is it possible i could be pregnant?..or could it be an early period (even though i already had a period this month).

Hi, my newborn never seems to stay asleep on his back...AT ALL, me and my husband began laying him on his belly and he seems to be calmer,,,and it even helps him burp a little when hes fussy and has gas,,,we have been doing this for about 2weeks here and there...i just dont know if its safe iv herd weird stories and also things about SIDS...how safe do you feel this is? im confussed..need a little help...

my 2week old son is acting very weird, this is my first baby so bare with me...when hes asleep he will jump out his sleep screaming very very loud and i panic because its like he had a nightmare or something...but he freaks out and scream a lot of nowhere, and the moment i pick him up and rock him hes quiet and calm...so i tend to have to hold him for hours on end...then sometimes i feed him 3ounces of milk..which its a good amount for his age...but an hr later..he freaks out screaming till i give him another ounce...can he be that hungry?...sometimes he just crys for a long time..when hes usually a calm baby...hes has no fever...his appointment the doctor said he looked great..last night i freaked out just had an emotional break down..because i did not know what was wrong...and i was scared that he could be sick and suffering and i didnt know it...i dont take him to the emergency because he was good at his appointment and he never has a fever...and after some hours he will calm down..sometimes he cries himself to sleep which scares me...i do everything i can...and suggestions on what could be wrong?

i found out my platelet count was low when i went into labor, they said the normal range was 120 and over and mine were like 63...then they checked two more times and it was still low, and i could not get an epidural due to this...anyways..im very worried about my health, after the birth they went up in the 70's zone...but were still considered low, but my doctor just told me to make a follow up for a 6weeks, and that was all, should i be worried?, they didnt give really do anything besides that, also my babys platelet count was low also, but then when they ran his test again they were in normal range and they said it was fine..so i dont really know what to think..im worried for my health and wonder what i should do about all of this?

Hi, what can pumping breast milk do to my milk supply, i have a 5day old son, and i breastfed him up until yesterday when the milk started coming in and making me very very sore and my baby also was not taking to the breast that well, so i began using a hand pump, and its been working fine, i use it about every 3hours or so and pump about a little over 5ounces and divide it between a a couple bottles and store it in the fridge, he drinks about 2 sometimes 3ounces every 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours,..CAN THIS CAUSE MY MILK TO LEAVE FAST?..i cant nipple feed him because he wont latch on that well and its hurt very bad when my breast fill up..i rather just pump.

Okay yesterday i started having way more PELVIC pressure then usual...then as it got close to night time i began to experience shooting pain in my vagina..so i went to sleep, about half way thought the night i started to get this weird pain in my low back kind felt like it was in my butt and lower back..so i couldn't tell exactly which it was...they come and go,,,woke me up about 4times last night..and now im having them still, could this just be constipation?...every time i went to the restroom nothing happened at all..and over the last hr they seem to still be here..BUT, there not getting stronger but they keep coming..what should i do? no matter what position i lay or sit in its not going away...FIRST BABY,

-I DID NOT CALL MY DOCTOR CAUSE FRIDAY I WAS ONLY 1 FINGER DILATED AND A LITTLE BIT THINNED OUT..SO I FIGURED THERE'S NO WAY IT COULD BE LABOR...MAYBE SOMETHING ELSE?

Hi, is it okay to ask my doctor to be induced at the end of the week..ill be 39weeks at that appointment...

has anyones doctor done this when they asked them?..

-the baby has to be ready to come by now..one week ahead should not hurt.

besides the usual third trimester pain and symptoms..not much has led me to believe labor is close..my cervix has not really changed..i have not lost my mucus plug that i know of...and all i got its clear discharge here and there..i do daily walks...yoga ball..squatts, everything just to help myself progress...i feel like he just wont come at all, i know first time babies tend to stay in longer but its driving my nuts.my body is super tiny and i feel like the weight is becoming way to much..WHAT CAN I DO TO MOVE THINGS ALONG?....i have my 39weeks appointment at the end of the week, could i ask my doctor to possibly induce me?...anyone else have and there doctor agreed...the worst he can say is no.

-No need to tell me baby will come when hes ready, im very miserable and feel this baby needs a little push.

Hi, im 38weeks and a couple days pregnant...my husband and I both noticed a difference last night when we had sex that my vagina was more loose and softer then usual...its not like we have been having crazy sex..and according to my doctor just this past week im not open any down there..so what could be a reason for this?

ill be between 37 and 38weeks?...

also: I would like to have my doctor possibly set me a date to be induce, due to the fact that i have no family on this town, only my husband and we dont have a car at the moment, he also works very far from where we live relying on a few buses to get him to and from work...so i need to be induced so that i can have a ride and everything set up for me and my husband in advance so im able to get to a hospital...i dont want to call the ambulance when i go in labor because im going to get a big fat bill for it...will my doctor atleast consider it, do you think?

This morning was not like any other morning, i woke up with horrible bowel movement, horrible vagina pressure (more then usual)..and now constant braxton hicks....what can i do to ease these symptoms..should i try medicine?..if so what kind?...

or should i call my doctor.

Hi..37weeks 3days pregnant, and have been having lots of braxton hicks...not painful..a little slight cramping here and there..just mainly tightness and breathlessness..i know i keep having them because it takes me breath away and my heart speeds up along with a tight tummy, i have not had them this frequent before..and today i have been having them alot, the last two days i have pretty bad cramping...and and now my bh are more frequent this afternoon....what should i do about this?...is it important enough to call my doctor? at 33weeks i was only a fingertip dilated and 1 and 1/2 in effaced...now im 37weeks 3days..

Hi 37weeks and 2days pregnant...and i feel like i cant hold this baby..im 5ft i was only 114 before i got pregnant, and now i have a pretty big belly...my issue is my belly is hanging super low at this point..my legs are going numb most the time...i cant really sit down that long because my belly is stuck between my legs....the baby feels pretty big his head is way down low ...yes iv had braxton hicks but then the last few days i have been having pretty bad menstrual like cramps here and there that hurt very bad...and this morning when i went walking it triggered major pain...anyone else having this issue?

of course i know theres not much i can do..just want some insight on if anyone is dealing with this..
