My 10 month old wakes up in the middle of the night and won't go back to sleep. What do I do?
My daughter is 10 months old. Normally she will wake up between 1am and 3am. It has been nice as I have just been able to give her a bottle and she would fall back to sleep. Now she is fighting it. She will be crying hard and won't accept a bottle. The only thing I can figure out to do is to take her out of her crib and let her play with her toys. (IE: To tire herself out.) She will be up for about two hours and will be very fussy.
I can tell that she is tired, but I can't get her to go down without going into high-gear crying. We've tried waiting it out without luck.
Any suggestions?
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby9 years agoOur 4 week old cries, all the time. What can you suggest I do to make her happy?
She is very fussy. She does not sleep much. She is fed, burped, and has a clean diaper. We have the swings to put her in, and the vibrating chair. She actually cries harder when she is in the swings and chair. She will fall asleep if we are driving (not quickly) but she wakes up as soon as we get home. Holding her will quiet her down some, but then she will get fussy again and we'll have to find a new position for her.
What are some ideas for handling fussy babies? We can't seem to find a reason as to why she keeps crying.
We are first time parents, thus we don't have much experience to draw on.
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhat cover can I get to protect an iPod Touch?
I am looking at buying an iPod Touch. (32gb 4th generation if anyone is interested.) However, I am not always "delicate" with my stuff. I would like to get some type of case for it so that would protect it from drops and also would allow me to just toss it in my book bag or pocket for travel. Heck, if you can find it on Amazon.com that would be even better.
I've seen a lot of stuff that 'claims' to protect the iPod, but a lot of the reviews state that the stuff is just a money trap. I want the iPod to last for a few years because I don't see having the money to buy another nice media player for a long time to come.
Heck, with your answer let me know what other stuff I should get to go with an iPod touch. Might as well spend my money while I have it! Ha ha!
1 AnswerOther - Entertainment1 decade agoI am in Richmond, Virginia. Where can I drive to get a good view of Comet Holmes?
There is too much ambient light in Richmond, VA for me to get a good view of the sky. I've driven out to Louisa and Hanover in order to find a spot without a lot of extra light, but then the surrounding trees get in the way.
Where is a spot I can drive to (within an hour's drive) that is dark enough and clear of obstructions so that I can view the sky? Also, it must be publicly accessable. (I have no need to get arrested for stargazing!)
3 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoWhat is there to do in Dayton, Ohio? What about Fairborn, OH?
This weekend (Oct. 6 & 7) we will be going to Dayton to visit the National Museum of the United States Air Force. We will be staying in a hotel in Fairborn, OH. I might go see the Dayton Art Institute, as they are doing an Oktoberfest. (I am just looking for ideas. I appreciate Civil War and WWI/WWII history.)
Anything else I should try to see? What about someplace to go eat? I am looking for a German or Irish restauraunt, preferably with a band playing matching Irish or German music. (Web site and band times are a plus!) A decent BBQ restauraunt that hopefully does BBQ with a regional twist would be appreciated also.
I thank you for your suggestions!
3 AnswersOther - United States1 decade agoHelp me choose RAM for an EVGA 680i motherboard.?
I'm building a computer, but I'm quickly running out of money. I need to find a good deal on some memory that is compatible with an EVGA 680i A1 motherboard. I would at least like to start with two sticks of matched 512mb (1gb) to start out with, but if I can do better for not much more, I'll buy it.
I can upgrade to better memory down the road, but I want something so that I can get my computer up and running now.
Below is my motherboard.
