the red sox will have 265 million dollars in extra cash to spend on free agents this offseason. One thing i think they should do is avoid players like hamilton and greinke because it almost never works out for this team. They will need a starting RF, LF, SS, and 1B. I think they need to get bobby v right out of there as soon as possible. Try to get either John Farrel, Jason Varitek, or Joe Tore. We are in dire need of starting pitching. Go for Edwin Jackson, Ervin Santana, or Francisco Lorianno. RF, either resign Ross or sign Ethier. LF, either Delmon Young, Grady Sizemore or Shane Victorino. SS, either Yuniesky Betancourt or Stephen Drew. And lastly 1B, either Mike Napoli or Casey Cotchman. Oh, and definitely resign David Ortiz

now that the red sox are trading away a-gon, beckett and crawford i am thinking about next year. The dodger reportedly will pay 260 million of the 270. So that means the red sox have 260 million dollars in extra cash for this winters free agency. I think that the red sox should try to sign ellsbury to an extension or go after delmon young. they need a shortstop and i think stephen drew is the best option. next hole is starting pitching. i think either edwin jackson, ervin santana, or francisco lorianno. then the red sox should fire bobby valentine and pickup 1 of these 3 names. Joe Torre, John Farrell, or Jason Varitek. even if all of this happens it will take a few years for them to get back to 2004 to 2008 form.
